  1. And to thank the two people who gave him praise for it. Good grief. Uber cringe.
  2. TinEye Reverse Image Search TINEYE.COM Be nice to see his progress pics of leslie making that.
  3. Cool, I'll have to have a look. Cheers. Not in Woodlots. Any idea where else you might have seen it?
  4. So if there is no magic vaccine coming are you advocating the global population wear masks in perpetuity?
  5. Its always been like this. Far to many people are complacent in their ignorance and belief that those in positions of power are looking out for their best interests. I am far from a conspirasist but when you read what was once scoffed at, and the whistle blowers and those who exposed what was going on where deems crazy tin foil hat wears only for the likes of Wikileaks to confirm a lot of what was thought to be going on was true. But the same old people will continue to mock those who think outside the box and see the bigger picture. Now I dont know if there is a bigger play here or not, Im certainly not saying there is. But only a fool would categorically claim there is not. You only have to look at history, recent history, to see how asinine that line of reasoning is. People that blinkered are simply not worth engaging with.
  6. My brothers friends father sadly passed away and had a workshop in London with some lightly used wood working equipment. And a bunch of other workshop equipment, ie Bench Drill, Spindle Molder. All for £1000, just need to clear the shop for him.
  7. Gonna have to get one!
  8. Ah cool. So anyone can buy one and claim to have a disability? Sounds great.
  9. Where do you get these cards? One lad on the Chopper out here was exempt from the mask. Looks perfectly normal too.
  10. Yip, at least here in Norway you can. Surely the UK is not that far behind the times? As mentioned in another post if you are proven to have the anti-bodies you get a 6 month pass into Norway without any further checks. Its in 'Norwegian English'; Personnel travelling for work from Schengen / EEA countries to Norway can be exempted from quarantine rules if they can provide two negative Covid-19 tests taken after arrival to Norway (the second test shall be taken no earlier than 48 hours after the first, and no earlier than day 5 after arrival). Personnel can be allowed to work after the first negative test, but shall keep quarantine in their spare time. For detailed guidelines please contact your Equinor company representative. People who, by approved laboratory method, can document that they have had Covid-19 in the past six months, are exempted from quarantine.
  11. This is very true and also quite worrying. Yet there is still a sizable majority who think this 'pandemic' is not being manipulated. I use my local Hardware store as much as I can, as with the Butcher and the like. It does seem like the Government is using this as a way to push through a cashless society and now have people so scared that they are welcoming in draconian measures that once implemented will become the new norm and almost impossible to back track on. All to just feel safe from the bogieman that is C-19 and is supposedly hiding behind every bush and shadow. Problem, Reaction, Solution springs to mind. Create a problem, wait for the public's reaction and demand for 'protection' and offer up a solution that erodes their liberties severely. You cant even discuss this in public as you're seen as not thinking of others. Or not taking this pandemic seriously. I'm over in Norway just now. Life is almost back to normality. Pubs are full, streets packed out with tourists, now on the Rig and although there is some controls in place, ie dinner is served to you as opposed to spooning your own meals and your temp is taken once a day its back to normal now. Quarantine has been lifted from Schengen and EEC Countries including the UK. So although Ive done three stints in isolated Quarantine to come to work in Norway over the last 3-4 months thats now (for the time being) a thing of the past. Once you enter Norway you're expected to take a C-19 test and then a second within 48 hours. Interestingly though if you've tested positive to anti-bodies by an approved authority you get a 6 months free pass.
  12. Well I guess I fit into the Piss Take and 'Chem Trail' then. Did you get a certificate to confirm you had it or is it just an assumption?
  13. I will not be doing any shopping or going anywhere that requires me to wear a mask unless absolutely essential. What was not ordered on-line before most certainly will be now. The missus already does the shopping on-line when Im in Norway, I'll just let her carry on when Im back. I dont think I'll be alone in my reluctance to venture out and spend money when having to do so in that level of discomfort regardless if you believe the hype or not. The High Streets and other businesses are gonna be decimated.
  14. Just ebay it.
  15. Its quite frightening actually. The amount of people that have fallen for this hook line and sinker is quite staggering.
  16. What do you get for £80? A bit of 2" galvanised Box Section? The Woodlands is quite nice actually. And a free winch thrown in too.
  17. Maybe I'm outta the loop. I was buying from the US a lot more when it was two bucks to the pound. Its still way cheaper for me to buy car parts direct from the US. Usually 2-3 days shipping, tax handled in the US no no dreaded Parcelfarce charges. UK dealers take your order, then call the same suppliers and and add their 50% and make you wait an extra week or two for the privilege.
  18. https://woodmizer.com/Store/Product/Index?id=1095 https://woodmizer.com/Store/Product/Index?id=3632 Dont know about the UK site but the US sites have these for sale. Could not see anything different, or cheaper? I'll assume you'll just convert the $ to £ and you'll have the UK price? Woodmizer UK will be able to source them for you surely.
  19. Well the Logosol kit is around £2000 and the Woodlands Mills version is under £500, so Id assume there is going to be a substantial difference in build quality. The Logosol Winch along is about £700 but you get the Winch and Ramp from Woodlands for less than this. But the fact remains, you're getting a bolt on, custom made system that is designed to be securely stored (IIRC) on the Woodlands Trailer for very reasonable prices. If the Op can build a similar system, factoring in the same features for both the Winch and the Ramp Woodland offers for less than £500 factoring in his time then crack on. Personally I know my limitations and could not. Johnsond is a very handy man and I know he could do it. He also built his own Trailer which is substantially better constructed than the Standard Woodlands offering which would allow him to easily mount the Winch etc. Might not be so easy with the Woodlands official version and then you have to consider invalidating the warranty on a brand new trailer as well. All food for thought.
  20. Ive little time really. I'm getting the Winch kit for £460 + vat. It has a few features I like. For example, the 'socket' remains on the Frame so its quick and easy to remove the Winch arm itself. When Milling the Winch 'clicks' back a bit to allow the Mill to pass without having to remove it each time you finish rolling a log up. It also doubles up as a Log Turner. And having had some 30" Oaks on the mill its certainly something Id like. I simply could not build something with all these features for anything like £460 when you factor in my time as well. It would take me maybe 2-3 days. Even just two days Milling would make me more money than that the cost of the Winch and its bound to be the quality that Logosol are known for. I'm sure I could weld a 1/2" plate to a bit of 3" Box section and also fab up a socket to sit it in for about £60, thats including paint, wire wheel, etc etc plus the best art of a day. So say £360 for a days Milling + £60 in materials thats £420 it would owe me and would be vastly inferior. Time is money.
  21. Thats actually quite cheap compared to other Mill Vendors. Logosol for Example are about £2000 for the Ramps and Winch. Ive got the Winch on order but made my own ramps a while a go. 2" Box section with the bottoms cut at the angle needed for the height of the Mill on the Trailer and an attachment arrangement for securing the Ramp to the rails. At £430 for both I'd not even think about it. Bargain.
  22. Always to far from me!
  23. Geeez Les, give it a rest. Seriously, your obsession with me is quite disturbing. Thats two threads you've mentioned me in today, its fascinating that I take up so much space in your head.
  24. I dont think £200 each was the price he was looking for. Maybe try the Milling sub-forum @Dan J?
