4 days? bloody hell. Thats mental. You seem to have scammed yourself big time there. Id want £450 for the day. My Brother just did a 4 hour tree job in London for £900.

No matter how big it is you always wish it was a bit bigger.

The difference in production volumes is huge. Less waste as well. With bigger logs its quite simple to knock out 9-12 three inch Fence Posts at the same time and accurately but not quite so easy on an M7 etc. save a fortune on fuel too and no Chain oil to worry about. I sent a saw to another member recently. Drained, double wrapped in bin liners, double boxed with plenty of packing and was no issue. The sellers clearly done a bad job of packing and thats his responsibility, not yours. Id be making the paypal claim.

yes, badly damaged packaging, but what did they state the reason for destroying the item was? Ive had badly packaged items re-packaged by them and had to pay a fee. I'll assume it was destroyed as it was either dangerous or an item thats on the exclusion list. Edit: I was it was on the exclusion list and destroyed for that reason as suspected.

They most certainly can if you've ticked the boxes that mean you agree to their terms and conditions. Most will not allow you to ship a Chainsaw full stop so by doing so you've violated the terms and conditions and have signed your rights away.

100% this is the reason. It will have either been thrown in the skip by now or someones taken it home. The market for old saws is quite niche so I'll assume its of no interest to anyone there and just dumped.

Ive bought a set of these. Cant think why I never bothered with them before. They are so handy and make picking up rounds a breeze. With a 4 way Head on my new 22t Splitter I can fairly whip through the logs and hardly break a sweat. Split right into a trailer on the Lawn Tractor and take to the bagging area. Can fill a 1.25 m3 bag in under an hour this way, including clogging up the logs. Ive always said as much. If you pay your tax and NI you should be well covered when things go wrong. I pay a fair bit in tax in Norway but I dont grumble as even higher earners get looked after over there. I think the Dole over there is 60% of your previous wage etc. Every 1st world country should have a good safety net. Thats not my gripe, its the bloated and heavily abused welfare state we now have in the UK where living off of the dole is a lifestyle choice and there is simply no incentive to work when the funds and perks offered are almost as good as full time work, and not on the odd occasion higher. Yes, you're correct. I got it wrong above.

100% agree, there should be a better state sponsored safety net. When you pay as much as you do in tax then you should be looked after in times of need. Its the whole point of NI after all. Its just lost its way completely now.

Sorry Eggs, I just dont agree. There is a small percentage of SE folk in the UK and where it to be mainly good hard working folk who in times of need, like just now, who where using them then Id agree. But its simply not the case. Food bank useage has been increasing for years. Its not a C-19 generated issue although c-19 might have exasperated it. Its always the same folk milling around outside these Food Banks. Its well known round our way who uses the local Food bank, maybe its different in the one you worked in.

Well thats true Dave, never thought of it from that angle. SE folk like yourself have been royally shafted. If the food banks where being used by hardworking folk who where struggling in these times through no fault of their own Id be all for them, but they certainly dont seem to be.

How is that possible with the hand-outs these families get? Food is ridiculously cheap, its so cheap its subsidized at almost every stage from field to plate. You can feed a family of 4 for a few quid a day.
