  1. Impossible. Been tried for decades and billions poured down the drain in the futile act.
  2. Sent you a PM.
  3. Im on Hermes.co.uk. Maybe because Im outta the country? Anyway, they can argue a chainsaw will full under one of these prohibited items; Gardening and household tools – Unless they are properly protected Sharp instruments – Including Knives, Scissors and Axes
  4. You'd think so but if you're sending a prohibited item maybe not? Will all be in the small print.
  5. Get used to the randomness.
  6. Could not afford the pay cut.
  7. My brother only does the odd tree jobs these days. Just cherry picks the good ones and passes the rest onto his mates. There sure is money to be made in London it seems.
  8. I seriously cant tell if he's being genuine or not? £450 for four days tree work? And had to clear the site as well? He has to be on the wind-up.
  9. 4 days? bloody hell. Thats mental. You seem to have scammed yourself big time there. Id want £450 for the day. My Brother just did a 4 hour tree job in London for £900.
  10. Found you the uk stockist. https://www.globalrecycling.eu/brands/frontier/ American build too.
  11. 50 trees for £450? Thats nine quid a tree! Then all your fuel, oil etc. They certainly seen you coming.
  12. Norwoods new budget range is the Frontier Models I posted above. They have a UK supplier but Im not sure who. Worth calling Norwood and asking.
  13. The Frontier with the Trailer package is a grand dearer than the Woodland mills?
  14. No matter how big it is you always wish it was a bit bigger.
  15. The difference in production volumes is huge. Less waste as well. With bigger logs its quite simple to knock out 9-12 three inch Fence Posts at the same time and accurately but not quite so easy on an M7 etc. save a fortune on fuel too and no Chain oil to worry about. I use about 10 liters a day on my 13hp Bandsaw mill. As well as the Woodland Mills offering have a look at Norwoods new budget range. The Frontier Story | Frontier Sawmills WWW.FRONTIERSAWMILLS.COM Introducing Frontier Sawmills' OS27 Portable Sawmill. Learn how we took the quality of Norwood and applied it to a more...
  16. I sent a saw to another member recently. Drained, double wrapped in bin liners, double boxed with plenty of packing and was no issue. The sellers clearly done a bad job of packing and thats his responsibility, not yours. Id be making the paypal claim.
  17. yes, badly damaged packaging, but what did they state the reason for destroying the item was? Ive had badly packaged items re-packaged by them and had to pay a fee. I'll assume it was destroyed as it was either dangerous or an item thats on the exclusion list. Edit: I was it was on the exclusion list and destroyed for that reason as suspected.
  18. They most certainly can if you've ticked the boxes that mean you agree to their terms and conditions. Most will not allow you to ship a Chainsaw full stop so by doing so you've violated the terms and conditions and have signed your rights away.
  19. 100% this is the reason. It will have either been thrown in the skip by now or someones taken it home. The market for old saws is quite niche so I'll assume its of no interest to anyone there and just dumped.
  20. Ive bought a set of these. Cant think why I never bothered with them before. They are so handy and make picking up rounds a breeze. With a 4 way Head on my new 22t Splitter I can fairly whip through the logs and hardly break a sweat. Split right into a trailer on the Lawn Tractor and take to the bagging area. Can fill a 1.25 m3 bag in under an hour this way, including clogging up the logs. With two folk it would obviously be much faster. https://www.stihl.com/STIHL-power-tools-A-great-range/Fuels-oils-and-accessories/Hand-tools-and-forestry-accessories/Hand-tools-for-forestry-work-and-tree-felling/Hooks-felling-levers-and-tongs/268362-63669/Hand-lifting-tongs-FP-20.aspx
  21. If Larch is any comparison then yes, its seems fair.
  22. thats odd, I just applied to join and have been approved already.
  23. Interesting, as you're so well versed in the Daily Mail and seem to be keeping track on their supposed love of bashing of Benifit Scroungers how many of these types of articles have they posted this year?
  24. Why are you reading the Daily Mail?
