  1. you seemed to take offence about him voicing his valid claims about Corbyn. As a warning? If you believe its true then maybe its the right thing to do? If he has seen some evidence, but cant share it then even more so? We're not talking about some dithering old MP here, we're talking about the former chief of the M16. Someone who is clearly astute and has the education and intelligence to back up his point of view. I seriously doubt he'd put his head above the parapet and further risk his reputation without good reason or evidence. It sounds like you've taken a personal objection to both of his statements and have then formed a hostile opinion about him, which of course you claim otherwise.
  2. What? Where did I even remotely state such a thing? You may very well doubt it. Personally I think its quite naive to believe that its not a distinct possibility. There has been a plethora of leaks to the media on both sides of the Pond within the last few years. Is it so far fetched to think that leaking something like this to someone who held such a high rank and has the respect of many? I dont think so. But again, Im not saying its whats happened, but I think he deserves to be heard and not told to shut his mouth because he cant wave a document in front of the camera. I think you have a clear prejudice against him and its clouding your judgement somewhat. Its like reading an opinion from mark J on the Tories, you know damn well there will be no objectivity in his thoughts and reasoning's. It will be nothing other than hate and bile.
  3. Read my previous posts and then read what you've just written. Maybe have someone read them for you? But then think carefully about how little sense your comments make.
  4. Better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and confirm it. If you dont think that someone who is 70 years old has anything to offer society in ways of knowledge and wisdom then I'm sorry, but Im not going to spoon feed you as to why. Im certainly not saying all 70 year olds should automaticly been taken at face value. But when they have had such a distinguished career then yes, I feel they deserve to at least have they're words considered.
  5. Well, you're free to scoff. Thats certainly your right. Others should be free to carefully consider his words. If your opinion is that anyone over 70 should keep their mouths shut as their opinion and knowledge is no longer valid then more fool you. In fact the more you share your opinions the more that becomes apparent.
  6. No, as I said his comments would have to be weighted for worthiness. His past position as the head of M16. He has, in my opinion, earned a degree of respect and his comments should be treated as such. Im not saying thats 100% whats happening. But I dont think its beyond the realms of impossibility he still has a lot of contacts who would pass him, or at least show him or discuss with him classified infomation. I dont know if his claims are true. Id certainly consider them with the respect due to someone who held the position he previously did. I think Trump ignores almost everything told to him by men and women in their relevant senior Military, Intelligence or security Position. What Trump does or not do has no bearing here.
  7. Thats not shit stirring, that is/was a legitimate opinion. Considering Corbyne is a terrorist sympathizer and openly supports various factions then I'd say his qualified opinion is valid. Id also like to see some proof, but I doubt he's in a position to hand out classified docs like that. Having held the position he did shows beyond a doubt that he is qualified to make such claims. Personally Id welcome more of his opinions, with or without proof. They can be weighed for worthiness but at least someone has the balls to speak out.
  8. Damn! Whats the plans for it? Are you building it?
  9. Cheers. Looking forward to seeing them.
  10. A bloke I used to work with on building sites bought a cheap terraced house for his daughter when she was at university, and let her rent the other bedrooms to her friends. That paid the mortgage so his daughter lived rent free, then he sold it for a profit when she left. Thats the way to do it! Might well be worth considering. Would have to find the deposit though. Got a year to save.
  11. Hes been there for 4 years and is quite astute. Ah ok cool. I'll look into that for Scotland. I guess so? Its so far removed from what I had growing up. Its hard to adjust. When I was 16 I was not even told or shown where the local bus route was.Now the kids seem to demand their own bloody flat and a car? Madness. Thanks for replying though. I appreciate it.
  12. Yes, I am/will continue to do so. But the advice and ideas from the guys here leads me down paths I had not previously considered. Good to know a caravan can be hooked up to utilities. I’ll dig into that a bit more. Seems like my daughter is not that interested in the idea after all. Bloody spoilt if you ask me. ? Wants a flat in whatever Uni Town she joins[emoji50] So Summer House/Guest House it is.
  13. Im just waiting on @Will C flogging me his woodland Mills version.
  14. Yes, of that I have no doubt. but it seems to be like when I was looking for a Bandsaw Mill. Nothing for a year then as soon as I buy one they come pouring out the woodwork! No doubt as soon as I pay over the odds for a WP36 5 will pop up at the same time for £5k.
  15. Eeeek, thanks for the heads up. Big J had a good suggestion of running washing up liquid in the water tank to handle the sap. Ive never worked with Larch, it really seems to have a lovely colour. I'll buy the whole stand and whats not Milling Grade will pass through the Stove. So no waste at all. I'm toying with the idea of using some oak in the design as well? Still have a few tons sitting and have more to mill in the summer. I know many think its a bad deal but someone has a bunch of Sticks and I said I'll take half of them and mill the other half for him. Some really nice slow growth Scottish Oak. We'll see.
  16. Love that! Looks Beautiful. Im getting a load of Larch in when I get home. Getting the whole stand of it. Not sure how much is there yet. Its not old, but was planted just over 50 years ago.
  17. Cheers, appreciate it.
  18. The main issue for me is the neighbor is a cock. So really I want to do this as simply as possible with out going down the paperwork route. Yes, its on the OS Maps/ Title Plan. Its just been a slab since Ive lived there though.
  19. Sounds amazing! Any pics?
  20. Interesting! Might be the way forward. Can you bring utilities up to it?
  21. Good point! Build a Cabin on wheels! No ones gonna test if its road worthy! Or Clad a Caravan.
  22. Ive been reading up on whats allowed in Scotland. Seems you can build Shed, Out Building, Summer house etc without much issue. I fit well within the criteria of land available and boundaries. But my Neighbors a cock and if my daughter slept in there he'd surely grass.
  23. Even if it was just a Summer House? Seems Summer Houses get a pass, but you're no allowed to live in them. Whats classed as living in them though?
  24. Yip, Im with you on that front. It BS that its always some former head of this and that that pokes his head above the sand. For it to be really effectual acting heads need to call China out. As they're not very little will happen other than some tutting and head shaking. Then it will be back to business with China again.
  25. And? What are you trying to prove? Again, to dumb it down for you. Eggy stated that the UK has more deaths per day than the EU combined. I said this was false and you jump on the bandwagon by initially not even understanding the request then posting something that proves you and Eggy where wrong. But supposedly I need to 'dig deeper'! What a fucking clown. So, when you're ready, that proof to the contrary, please. All the above shows is the UK is doing a shit job of it, no one is disputing that. Are you really this stupid? Would a Fisher Price Learning Pad help?
