  1. Well in the very limited context Mick gave the UK was the worst. He had to limit the countries of course as the UK is not even the worse in the EU. The deaths in the UK are not great, but as you say certainly not the worse, by a long shot.
  2. Oh absolutely. No ones disputing that.
  3. So I have a 12m x 3m Concrete Slab out the back of the property. It was originally a pig pen back in the 60's/70's but (I guess) importantly is down on the drawings so getting planning permission, should I need it might be easier? Up til a week ago I was planning on using it for drying slabs of wood but my Wifes suggested that we make it onto a Cabin of sorts for my 17 year old Daughter. I quite like that idea and when she moves out to go to Uni it would be perfect for guests staying. Does anyone know if planning Permission would be needed for something like this? I dont think I'd be bring power and water up to it but if bringing water up to it was no issue I would. Electricity would most likely just be solar Power and batteries. Basically a small living area with a small kitchen and a bedroom. A toilet and shower would be on the cards if planning permission was not an issue. Id rather not apply for planning permission and if I dont have to but my neighbor will stick his nose in and intentionally cause bother so it would need doing by the book according to whats legal in Scotland. If no permission is needed then I'll just tell him to bugger off. As for designs Im not 100% sure. Id like to try my hand at Timber framing and could follow the project in a book I have, but I also like the other design Ive posted. But as there is such a nice view out over the fields and hills behind me Id like to put big windows in.
  4. Well thats not quite what it says. This is what it says; Number of coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths in Europe since February 2020, by country Published by Conor Stewart, May 26, 2020 As of May 24, 2020, there have been 173,454 deaths in Europe overall due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the first recorded European death in France on February 15. The most deaths have occurred in the United Kingdom at 36,675. April 4 was the virus' deadliest day so far in Europe with 5,209 deaths recorded in 38 different European countries. While on May 24, 935 deaths were recorded across 28 countries.
  5. Look a bit deeper? No, all the facts are there for everyone to see. You simply cannot prove what you're so desperate to and have to resort to 'dig a bit deeper'. No one is saying 282 deaths is good or bad, thats not the point, but nice Strawman. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1102288/coronavirus-deaths-development-europe/ So either post up the proof that the UK has more deaths a day than the EU or shut the fuck up. Go on! You can do it!
  6. I asked for proof and you initially failed to comprehend that simple request and they you sent me something that proves the contrary. [emoji3] The latest complete figures I could find are for the 24th of May. They show that the EU deaths where greater than that of the UK, which should be obvious to anyone. Is why Eggy never replied to my comment and why you are desperately trying to prove me wrong. Looks like you have Egg on your face. Not for the first time I imagine.
  7. Yeh, read it all. Was easy to find the deaths of each EU Country, so thanks for the link. When tallied up its more than what we have in the UK in the same time frame. So thanks for that.
  8. Ok cheers, I had a quick read and it says there is still more deaths in the EU daily than in the UK. Thanks anyway,
  9. Certainly no point in asking you. I asked for evidence that the combined EU deaths from C-19 where less than the weekly deaths in the UK, so you posted a link to the deaths in England and Wales. Well, thanks, I already know that. Now back to what I actually asked for......
  10. What does that link show other than the deaths in the UK?
  11. Like China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, etc etc. The populations of these countries tend to not have guns, thats because they take them away from their people and then rule them with an iron fist.
  12. Lets see a pic when you find it!
  13. Do you have any links to these claims? Last I looked we had a hundred and seventy odd deaths a day in the UK. Are you saying that the whole of the EU combined has less deaths per day than that? I find that very hard to believe. And again, it surely comes down to how the deaths are recorded, it seems some countries are recording deaths by C-19 and some where its a factor. But I agree, we're being told a pack of lies. With the US in Melt Down and at the supposed height of the pandemic the whole country decided to completely ignore safe distancing and in fact the complete opposite is happening yet NY is stating they had zero confirmed C-19 cases yesterday. SO in the UK with measures in place 170+ deaths a day. NY with zero measures in place and zero deaths? https://www.nydailynews.com/coronavirus/ny-coronavirus-deaths-confirmed-covid-de-blasio-20200604-a5dfx2l6hvgwlll4vou67zrqla-story.html Sounds like its all a crock of shite to me. I'll leave the cowering at home to others.
  14. Did your education include this fact?
  15. And good eating too!
  16. Ive got to watch my back. Perhaps I'll be using it in the Vertical Position more than I thought? Do you just split large rounds with it or smaller stuff as well? Ive bought a Hookaroon and log lifting tongs to take some of the bending out of log splitting and I think a table on the Splitter when used in the Horizontal would really improve things. How does the chain thing on the right hand side (looking towards the tow hitch) work? Any videos of the Splitter in action? Do you use the Splitter financially or just for firewood at home?
  17. In my research before buying one they seem to have a very tight control of quality in china and have a man over there overseeing the production. I dont think the Splitters are generic but I think their Stump grinders are, but built to their spec and QC.
  18. That was my thinking as well. Get one before they go! The added benefit is they have them in stock right now. The regular 22t has a huge backlog of orders.
  19. I will do when I get home. The ES was built in preparation for the EU regulations that would have come into force here had we remained in the EU. When we left the EU they where stuck with a bunch of 22t splitter with useless and unwanted safety features but ones that can easily be overridden. This is going by what they told me on the phone, could all be BS but rings true to me. Horizontal splitting will be or is banned in the EU supposedly. To save folks backs from lifting big rounds onto the machine. Vertical only. I'll use the vertical for big rounds and horizontal for everything else.
  20. should not be to hard to work out the accuracy of the force. pressure times area = force and all that. https://logsplitterplans.com/calculators/hydraulic-cylinder-force-calculator.htm
  21. £1900 was more than I was willing to spend. The ES is a 22t, but £1500. Its virtually the same machine once you remove the micro-switch stopping the horizontal operation, as per the EU directive. The only thing missing from the ES is the table, but Ill fab my own one up. 22ton ES- Series log Splitter - Rock Machinery - Log Splitters & High Quality Garden Machinery WWW.ROCKMACHINERY.CO.UK After many conversations with both customers and professionals we all agree that the venom 22ton is one of the...
  22. Ive been keeping an eye out for a second hand one for ages and they never seem to come up for sale.
  23. Ive just bought the 22t ES Spec Splitter. Its sitting in my garage but I'll be away another 3-4 weeks so will not get a chance to play with it till then. It was originally £2250, then £1850 and finally down to £1500. Mainly due to the excessive safety features the EU imposed on Splitter, or will be soon. but as we're not in the EU any longer we dont need to follow their retard laws any more. So the 22t ES can only split in the vertical, but this is easily overridden by removing the micro-switch. The two handled operation on this particular machine is one of the simplest to override. Drill a hole in the shaft on the left hand side of the machine 1" further up the shaft and pop a pin in to lock it out. Job done. Ask them to throw the 4 way Splitting head in for free and they will do. Its no longer stocked by them and they accept no come back on it if and when you kill it. Seems like folk have been using the 4 way on large rounds when its more suited to 13" and below. The £1500 includes delivery and I assume the tank is full of oil? Its really a cracking price considering its road tow. Yes only to 45mph but I think Ive read a bearing change and its good to 60mph. Which I'm sure it is anyway, I doubt I'll stick to 45mph when I lend it to mates etc. I too was gonna get the 20t meter one, but once I learned you can mill in the horizontal with the 22t I never spent much time looking at the 20t. It looks very unstable and you cant road tow it.
  24. Surely someone will be happy to buy it of of you?`
