  1. I’m not sure how to embed vids here? But with the template I bought you can see that from the original Cam how much meat needed removed and also where it was needed. Where it was needed I found the template did not have near enough of a hump to ramp the grinder up quick enough. I powered the grinder on and off and isolated the ‘ramp’ area that needed more of a hump then added metal putty to this area. Let it cook off then marked around the template and used that as a guide for how much extra meat to leave on. I never finished as I had to go off shore, but I’m getting there. If ramping up quickly does not do it then I’ll just bite the bullet and get a much thinner Diamond Disc from Logosol for the Grindlux. It’s the thickness of the disc that’s causing me this issue and no matter how I profile the disc I can’t alleviate it. Might have figured out the vid thing. As you can see in the vid I’m not taking anything off the gullet but the sweep is spot on, it’s just the next tooth that’s getting hammered. Once that’s sorted I just need to adjust the stop down slightly and the whole gullets getting a slither removed.
  2. That is surprising. I was sure I was told the Rippers in .042" thick stock where a total of 1/8". Its what my Mill is set up for as well, hmmmmmmm.
  3. ok cool. Would be very interested to see how you've been avoiding removing the top of the next tooth with the standard grinding stone. Perhaps the cam has been changed in the last few years? Do you get a nice gullet cut with the Cam on the Ripper Bands?
  4. Guess so? So you’re not hitting the top of the next tooth with the profiled stone? Are you using the Diamond Blade?
  5. Add one. Just pop down to your local electrical store and grab a bunch? How did you manage to burn out two fuses already?
  6. Id be interested to see your sharpener in action. Did you find the cam takes out a perfect gullet cut right outta the box? stright down for the tooth then follows the ripper gullet profile around then managed to raise up fast enough to miss the tip of the next tooth? Did you specify a Ripper Cam?
  7. I use .042" Blades. The Kerf is near as damn it 3mm or 1/8". Which is handy since my Mill operates on a 1/8" click system. You have the option of .042 or .043" blades. So virtually no difference. Obviously .042*3 = .126" or 3.2mm so my blades are set a fraction under this and Im happy with that. Another think to keep in mind is the Cam on your shiney new Grindlux 4000 is not designed for the Ripper 37 Blades. No matter how much you profile the grinding stone you're grind off a lot of metal off of the top of each tooth. I bought a Ripper 37 Cam template for it but its still taking off a bit of the tooth, so Im currently in the middle of reprofiling the new Cam Plate with metal putty and having a bit of trial and error til Im happy that Im taking out the whole gullet and also raising quick and high enough to miss the top of the teeth.
  8. Yes. [emoji16]
  9. Supposedly there is 500oz of Silver in each Tomahawk Missile. Now that the Warmonger Biden is in power it’s only a matter of time before they’re slung at countries with Brown people to ‘liberate’ them. Silver might be making a jump. Interestingly Silver is the most conducive and the most reflective metal in the world. But obviously it oxidises and gold does not. The Cable we run on some Wells is Copper coated in 30% Silver. We can run about 10,000 meters of the stuff at a time. When these wells reach the end of their lives the cables come back out and get scrapped. Someone’s making some serious coin.
  10. There is always a premium on coins. Cheaper to buy bullion. There is also vat on Silver at 20%, no vat on Silver in Norway though. Better off buying older 90% Silver coins that are closer to spot price, or even scrap silver off of eBay. I get Silver for free when I make Jewellery with them off-shore.
  11. I remember that Pt peak. I was buying a fair bit of AU, AG and a bit of PT between 2010 and 2015 and cashed in to fund the deposit of my house in Norway. The speculation back then was AU and PT where gonna remain the roughly level and that PT was perhaps gonna over take gold. I had a couple of 1kg AG coins from the Perth and RCM Mints, I thought thought they where cool and where a fun thing to bring out at dinner parties. Dont have much these days so what I do buy I like them to have some history. Even if its just some Morgans or Peace Dollars. I bought a Goloid Dollar one time on the off-chance it was not fake. It was fake.
  12. There is that. Its why the Bank of England has rolls and rolls of tinsel in their vaults.
  13. True to a point. But then Platinum is more scarce than Gold and harder to obtain and obviously useful yet has never been considered money. Currently Platinum is trading significantly below Gold but for a while they where comparable. Gold is also where the traders run to when markets are down. Historically fiat currency has never lasted longer than something like 60 years? Paper is just that, you just have to have faith in it. But Gold, for the last 6000 year anyway, has been regarded as money all over the globe and will continue to be so.
  14. The Feck is loonacy? Is that the next crypto? Define 'real money'. Since the banks and almost every country in earth keeps Gold in reserve Id argue thats 'real money'. If you can print 'real money' outta thin air how on earth can that be real?`
  15. My Boka hits the 90’s when in full reflux. But then you’re stripping all the flavour out. At 94-95% it evaporates on your tongue but still tastes a little bit sweet. For whisky you just remove half the copper scrunches. [emoji16] Got some 5 year old in Mason Jars at home it’s getting there. (All at home in Russia of course)
  16. Whats the process for getting in on this action.
  17. What I need is another garage or shed. I cant even turn in mine just now. There is way more wood working equipment in there now since you where there. I need to take them all over to my workshop/barn storage I think. Give myself some room.
  18. Hows it going with that? I found a 36" Chilaskan in the garage that Ive never used and forgot I even bought.
  19. You? I had a new toy arrive in the post today.
  20. I cannot account for everyone's financial decisions Leslie. But I'll leave it at that as its taking the thread off of tangent.
  21. Really? Dont think so Leslie. If she can feed her family for £20 and look this well fed then Im sure anyone can. You're talking utter Tosh there. Mother who feeds her family of five on £20 a week shares her money-saving tips | Daily Mail Online WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK Lorna Cooper, 44, from Paisley near Glasgow, has 554,000 followers on her Facebook page where she regularly shares...
  22. I’ll have to pop over to your site again and look at the price.
  23. That’s because food is subsidised through your tax. Foods not really cheap, if you’re paying tax you’re paying for the real cost and that of those who don’t or can’t pay tax. But you’re right, for an hours pay you can feed a family for the whole day. That’s why I don’t buy into kids from poor neighbourhoods needing lunches delivered to their homes when not in school. It’s just sheer laziness.
  24. I bought a few barrels that came from the local distillery. When was loading them into the trailer liquid sloshed all over me. Thought it was just water but it was clear it was spirits. Got them home and drained 1 pint outta each of the barrels and weighed the fluid. It was 60-65% alcohol. It also tasted amazing. 6 Pints of cask strength Whiskey and it cost me £35 a pint, with the barrels thrown in for free.
