  1. How is it powered?
  2. Why did you de-bark it?
  3. This is my second oldest daughters prospects. She is due to start medical school later this year providing she gets three B's as per the conditional acceptance. Yes, £40k after 6 years but then that rises exponentially. You will never be out of a job, you'll never have to bust your balls (and back) and you get fancy letters at the start and end of your name. £120k a year before long is easily achievable, not bad, not great.
  4. I thought you said she was chronically ill? I bet she just says that so you leave her alone. 10” in 4 instalments more like. Rule of thumb is any man who repeatedly states he has a massive cock has a thumb sized one. Boasting about a big cock is Small PePe energy.
  5. Join the club. [emoji16]
  6. That’s a fence post.
  7. The Rima 30t is a nee model. Just one joystick to control that does everything . Weighs 1000kg and uses a Honda GX V-engine (or the Lifan equivalent) I’m very tempted to get it. But it’s £8000 from Alibaba . That’s the unit price, shipping, tax and duty. The RM-7 20t can be bought new for £5000 now. Also very tempting
  8. If all I need to do now is still a recess for the lifting arm then I’ll do that and save myself £500. Everything on it is in perfect working order so why waste money?
  9. Good question and one I learned through trial and error. I know you say apart from the obvious but I’ll list what I bring. Some obvious some maybe not. 1, Milling Saw. 2, Mill. 3, Mill Spares. (Grub screws, nuts and bolts etc. 4, Metric and imperial Allan Keys. 5, Full 3/8 and 1/4” Socket sets. 6, Spare pull cord. 3 and 3.2mm 7, Snedding Chainsaw. 8, chain oil. 9, 2 Stroke oil. 10, fuel. 11, 2-3 milling chains. 12, 12v Chain Sharpener. 13, 12v Battery Starter. 14, chain files. manual and diamond for the 12v sharpener. 15, Wedges. 16, bar clamp. 17, chainsaw key. 18, Spare Spocket drives. 19, Adjustable wrench. 20, 3/8” & .404” depth gauge. 21, WD40 22, hammer. 23, Crow Bar. 24, Cant Hook 25, 4” & 6” Wood screw. 26, Battery drill & spare battery’s. 27, Screw bits. 28, PPE. 29, Headphones that take calms and plays music 😁 30, plenty food and fluids. 31, bog roll. 32, Rain clothes. 33, Spare change of breeks and socks. 34, packing out material for the ladder (if using) 35, ladder (if using) 36, Raker files. Im sure I’ve missed something. 🤣
  10. Burning a 1.25m3 vented bag every 3 days. [emoji16] A 10kw stove in the living room and an 11 kw in the kitchen that does heat, cooking and hot water.
  11. It was a paying job.
  12. Milled a customers Sycamore. Just over 40” x 4m got a few nice if plane slabs out of it.
  13. I’m burning a 1.25 cube net bag of logs every 3 days. 🤣 Boiling hot water. Roasting house (to hot for me) all for free! What’s not to like?
  14. Was chatting with him yesterday. He seems ok and has a few plans in the works supposedly. Looking forward to seeing what they are.
  15. Governed on a local level and relying on locally raised taxes?
  16. The merchant was £23 inc vat for 4.2m x 137 x 16mm
  17. Just called the local sawmill for a price for cladding. They have no stock and won’t have till near the end of the year due non-trade accounts. The local timber merchant has 137mm x 16mm larch cladding in at £5.50 a board foot. Suddenly £3 a board foot does not sound so bad.
  18. Good grief. What a load of nonsense.
  19. Not seen any actually. No time for TV. [emoji16]
  20. I don’t know how I ended up using board foot to be honest? Now that I have I find it easier to visualise and price. The Norwood App is quite handy. Punch in the dimensions and you get board feet. I have in my head what I charge for oak in board foot. Im very new to pricing up as I’ve mostly milled for my own supply.
  21. Cheers J.
  22. What’s that in board foot? 🤣
  23. I’ve got orders coming in the Larch but I’m unsure what to charge. £3 a board foot seems the going rate for 153mm x 18mm cladding. Does this sound right? Would the same BF price go for 6x2” etc?
  24. Yeh, the 084 is fair ripping through the log. It was bogging down yesterday and after a quick tune its really gobbling its way though it. Looking forward to trying the skip chain with it maybe tomorrow or the day after.
