  1. the annoying thing with pensions. Lets say your a dosser, living on dole and handouts. So free house, no council tax, free spending money etc Saved nothing, earned nothing. They get pension credits and ta da more free money. Kind of makes doing the right thing, working hard etc rather pointless. And socialists/labour want more of this nonsense. They must be mentally ill.
  2. and there is the con. put 100k in the bank and draw on it for 20 years without growth. Oh the tax law dissuades us from doing this as the parasites in the finance houses couldt rape 5% a year from your pot for 20 years for pressing a button on a computer. I'm not cynical at all.
  3. the 107 is purely a date of when you got your licence, if have the old one then you are unrestricted BE, new kids restricted to 8250kg. Also dont forget you have to renew the photo driving licence every 10 years, £1000 fine for out of date one.
  4. thats right you need an old licence and there is no restriction on the weight you can tow, the llimit is the vehicles plated train weight.
  5. Mini artic has been done before on here and is good route to tow 15 tons on a B+E car licence. The hard bit is finding a tow vehicle with a plated train weight of 10+ tons that is classed as a car so 3500KG. The only ones are downplated trucks, that advert is very misleading as a navara couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding let alone 5 tons legally. The one below is pretty crap but at least has 8.5 ton train weight, the chassis is probably 2 ton so by the time a trailer is added should still be a good 5 ton left for cargo. All on a B+E car licence and none of that C1E con/crap. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-06-RENAULT-MASCOTT-160-65-156-BHP-SINGLE-CAB-MINI-ARTIC-TRACTOR-UNIT-DI/132615338318?hash=item1ee07d794e:g:vakAAOSwyJpboEp4:rk:4:pf:0 This is an extreme example 18.7 ton train weight. And its CAR remember.
  6. Not that impressed with it to be honest. Much better machines in EU which beat it in lift, reach, capacity. They have been running proper ducks with 3 piece booms for years. There is a duck that does tow a trailer, you can read about it on Earthmovers. I guess its all down to how its classed on the V5. Would be emminanty sensible for a 18 ton duck to be able to tow a 10 ton trailer, they are speed restricted to 30kph unlike the tractors you see bombing along driven by a 18 year old pole.
  7. Not really. They are road regstered, taxed and MOT exempt so fully legal.
  8. dont hold your breath, never seen vosa ever locally.
  9. rubber duck! No transport costs, drive it to site.
  10. Anyone done this, pulled out the seats and put a draw and rack system in its place ? Thinking of replacing my 3.5 ton daily tipper for a 7.2 ton crew cab tipper on a restricted O.
  11. that price tells me they dont want the hassle. Wouldnt waste more time on it, drop them and goto another digger manufacturer or have the digger as they normally supply it and add them yourself. As for being 'inspected' I'd refuse the jobs personally. Fuck that.
  12. only of any use to work on a cartel 'site', of zero use to normal people.
  13. to the OP, just dont pay. Offer what you think is reasonable (£350) and see what they come back with. They didnt even remove the chip, rip off merchants.
  14. Pikey scum. Gas mark 5. Watch insurance prems half and the population of hedgehogs double.
  15. I use FX Impact for vermin control. It's friggin amazing, can shoot as fast as you can cycle, certainly 1 shot a second. Can turn power up or down as well which is handy for indoor ratting. http://www.fxairguns.com/rifle/impact/
  16. how you going to carry that heath robinson wonder to site ?
  17. couldn't agree more. thats good advice. I whittled my list to 3 and tried them all on site for a day. I was initially dead set on the taki but found it to be a dog compared to the kubota. Like it was 10 years behind.
  18. here is my old comparison table when I was sorting a >3 tonner. The Kubota's couldnt be beaten really which is what I ended up with. Shame Kubota UK sales are utter utter pants.
  19. i wouldn't care if they were stuffed or not. They are straight up stealing from you and to your face to boot. Amend your terms to include 'any unauthorised tampering with any part of the machine will result in a £1000 charge to re certify'. I'd put a couple of counters as well, one that is very hard to get it that you will only need if they pull your other one.
  20. roll up unannounced for a 'routine maintenance checkup' and see if thats the case. if it is, take them off site immediately, you dont want to be hiring to scum.

  23. For the love of god, stainless steel nails to stop the stains!
  24. i had the larger muck truck until it was robbed. Great tool, easier to use than our hinowa 800 tracked. Very good payload as well, it holds near enough 3 builders barrows of stone. You can take the dump bed off and put a flatbed on for bulky items, it also had a tow ball for shunting work as well. We make use with our hinowa now for the odd occasion we need it but miss the muck truck.

send me your magic wand for making it detect plastic water and gas. Like I said good for electric.
