  1. why not just get a normal 2kva inverter and plug in the normal charger. Charge time wouldn't be any different. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LCD-Pure-Sine-Wave-power-inverter-1500W-Peak-3000W-DC-12V-TO-AC-240V-UK-Socket/182263954517?epid=1141929273&hash=item2a6fc73c55:g:zGwAAOSwYlJW3tGo
  2. nowt wrong with a jock in a frock.
  3. jesus. HSE will have a field day.
  4. yes thats the theory. In practice no small firm can afford, or morally should, pay someone who is not working. I'd put the firm into admin/pre-pack first. As for breeding age females. As far as your firm is concerned it is the same as 9 months off on the sick. Again having to pay for no work.
  5. You broke the law. It's the job that is redundant not the employee. He could take you to cleaners with compo. Sad but thats the system, small firms should only take on subbies just too expensive otherwise. Same with females of breeding age way to expensive to even consider.
  6. for me its not about who decides what, its at what point the fetus is considered a life. For me its when it has a heartbeat. At that point the human should have the same rights as any other human. I would like to abort quite a few fully grown feral junkie scum and would gladly extend the time to say 60 years but that would be emotion talking.
  7. On the flip side you will keep the original train weight so may well be able to tow 5+ tons on a pre-97 car licence.
  8. all loads are vertical once lifted! Can you link to the engcon doc stating that ?
  9. i know the frock wearers north of hadrians have some funny laws but to convict a defacto underweight trailer is rather silly. I would be using the legal assistance with the insurance. More likely this was magistrates (if jocks have these) and they are clueless about most things I've found. Solicitors in Mag court are to law as lidl chainsaws are to stihl.
  10. you could always use a pulley its cheap and simple. 9 or 10 to 1 will pull the wallet out of a jocks pocket. Simple Steel A-Frame, doesn't need to be as high as the post but high enough to pull it a couple feet. Then rig a pully http://www.balancecommunity.com/slack-science/9-to-1-pulley-system/ Here is an extreme example of pulling down a bloody big tree stump and all.
  11. I've just done this with 4 of the 70's council style concrete posts used for chainlink fence by public footpaths. You can see the first of them at the corner of the wall behind the log pile. It's little jobs like this that makes me really appreciate the engcon, while it could not be justified for this alone, all these small 'bonuses' to add up. Rather than burning an hour of physical labour it took 5 mins and I was on with next job. Imagine the bucket attached and flat on the floor with the gripper behind it clasping the post, then crowd the bucket using it as a lever and pop out she came complete with base.
  12. What you think this will end up going for Eddie? https://autoline.info/-/auction/wheel-excavators/VOLVO-EW-140-C-Hjulgravare-med-tiltrotator-och-skopa--18092014184481590300 whats the crack registering to use on road, do they have to have number plates? Can’t remember seeing plates on duck girls vids?
  13. 10 ton min , 13 really as I need reach and lift. Placing the beams for block and beam would be amazing and the big spans are bloody heavy. hows it work on the road, do they have number plates ?
  14. Eddie I don’t want a telehandler. i want the duck so can load 8 wheelers / dig and also use it as a pseudo telehandler. Saves me buying a 13 ton digger and a telehandler is my thinking
  15. I should have mentioned it will he only used on building sites. Maybe with a crane boom attachment it would have the height to lift trusses on. from my rudimentary research I think the English market is not going to have any so which euro country will be best ? Germany? also I think will need to up the budget a bit.
  16. this. https://www.theconstructionindex.co.uk/the-digger-blog/view/one-man-and-his-komatsu-rubber-duck http://www.earthmoversmagazine.co.uk/english-owneroperator-swedish-approach/ Now to learn about rubber ducks, the wife things ive finally lost it after i mentioned im researching rubber ducks!
  17. I do like the jcb hydradig with the double knuckle setup. Wonder what they like on the mud. being able to drive it on the road is a major plus.
  18. So, we were having a discussion about replacing a telehandler with a digger that has similar reach and lifting capacity. 6m min and a ton at full extension. Would need a tilt on it and pallet forks etc i think it would be a more flexible tool than a straight telehandler. For example exact placement of pallet loads without shunting about. help loading out block and beam , loading out scaff with blocks/bricks etc unloading lorries. pro’s multi use faster work rate cons not as much reach can’t use on road slower loading - maybe so my question (Eddie!) what would be the smallest footprint digger that could do this, what make / model . We will be replacing a telehandler next year but if I can sell the pro outweighing the cons It could work. budget 25-30k + vat
  19. good luck with sale. Equipment aside I would expect maybe £2-3k for the goodwill side. one man bands are just not worth any money unfortunately.
  20. typical council lunatics. Send them a bill for your time under Section 1 of Paul Bunyon 2018. It will have the same amount of legal force.
  21. No consequences, your rules. I'll start off, benefits only paid 10 months a year. The other 2 months they goto 40% taxpayers.
  22. yes you can its fine. When you record the purchase on your books, mark it paid and add it to the account 'Your cash' or similar to make it easy to keep tabs. I can 100% recommend www.clearbooks.co.uk it does it all for you.
  23. we have the 5 tonner JCB ex hire (green paint you know the ones) we had it 4 years now and its still great. Daily abuse on site and no faults as yet. Only call out we had, it wouldnt turn over one morning. Tried everything filters, fuel. The mechanic arrived on site and saw the hammer line was on in the cab so the engine was pushing against the pump when trying to start. Flicked this off and she started right up. Couple red faces that morning.
  24. Why is this eddie ? Had to demo a house and borrowed the 13 tonner from the farm and bugger me i really missed the blade. I took the oppertunity to clean up some ditches where my 3 tonner didnt have the reach and it annoyed me no end I couldnt level the machine with the blade on a slope. I couldnt live with it if it was mine, do blades come as an option ?
