  1. its tax neutral. we do exactly that, plant owned by co A, comp B does work and pays hire fee to comp A. Tax position doest change. It does allow Comp B to go bump and protect the assets.
  2. i can only add my local Landrover dealer as well as the Audi and VW are equally as $h1t. I had the 'pleasure' of the new car purchase process at VW, they refused point blank to throw in a full tank of fuel in the deal. They did bombard me with, salesman youtube video (2 lots thanking me for the purchase), putting the car inside printing a label with my name on it on a stand and a sheet over the car. Utter utter millenieal crap. I explained to the kid/salesman than no tank of fuel meant he would be getting zero on the feedback form and I dont want any of the crap/fluff videos etc so to save his time (he ignored). Needless to say turned up to collect, its only a bloody vw at the end of the day, and it was under the sheet. Told them to pull it outside while I had a coffee. Needless to say he get zero on his feedback and when they rang to enquire I told them. Their service department equally as crap. I thyink its just a UK thing as I've yet to find a decent dealer who isnt a) a liar b)useless.

    Electric Cars

I came very close to pulling the trigger on a model X this year, as they can be bought via the business and are 100% corp tax deducatable in the first year. I came to my sense and got a digger instead in the end. I have the tesla powerwall being installed in march to fully use the solar panels. love all this new tech its great.
  4. yeah thats looks puny. You will have to mount it near the back as it doesnt look like it has much stroke length. This will make it work hard. Much better off with multi. I had a multi on my old tipper mounted between rear axle and cab and that struggled with a 3 ton of wet clay. My new tipper i specced 6ton ram also 3 stage.
  5. it has a bleed valve on the top. insert cart, crank for couple secs, crack open valve and crank. job done.
  6. dont have one !
  7. I dont think its an issue, the volume is what matters and it can be controlled with the trigger. It doesn't come out any faster than a hard pump on the manual gun. Probably one of those things that sounds like an issue in theory but in practice isnt.
  8. Any good places for digger service kits ? Dealer prices are pretty tasty.
  9. £230+vat makes daily bucket pin greasing much less painfull and likely to be done!
  10. Please quote the Act stating that as I call BS on that.
  11. setup a ltd co VAT registered for your business clients and all your materials, they get the vat back anyway. Sole trader for your domestic. When you first register for vat you can go back 7 years to reclaim VAT on allowable expenses (KIT). If your not earning cash already then you will pay a lot less personal tax as well. donnk
  12. Been looking at electric for ages, with the new digger on order and the 5 tonner and telehandler to grease as well pulled the trigger. My kit is dewalt so got a dewalt one. Have to say with the fastloc is bloody great.
  13. use the dewalt gun, battery fits the other kit. Makes doing the swing bearing and teeth a breeze. Hold the trigger down and rotate.

    GoodYear AT3?

stick with AT2 grabbers on the disco4. White poncy letters on the inside of course.
  15. lefty nonsense. steal from the working to give to the feckless.
  16. where is best place to get one ? The size that would cover a 7.5 ton trailer. Not the plastic crap, the nice soft, oiled fabric type ones from old.

    7.5 ton iveco

You have proven they changed the axle weights ? Your link mentioned nothing about them.

    7.5 ton iveco

yes obviously. You have the trailer designed not to transfer more than needed same as hgv setups. a la mini artic. there are a couple of these setups in London can deliver 5 packs(6 ton) of bricks pulled by a daily. Gets around the socailst LEV tax. The look like low loader trailer with all the weight over 2 axles.

    7.5 ton iveco

yes obvious from the photo the tug was full of crap. Wouldnt have been an issue with a B+E setup though. all the weight would have been in trailer.

    7.5 ton iveco

err yes it does. And according to the Gov they are the same. I think you are splitting hairs. https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-weights-explained

    7.5 ton iveco

nope. rear axle limit on 7.2 daily is 6 tons. downplated its a 3.5ton vehicle. Again you confuse the two. you cannot put 6 ton on the downplated solo tug. you CAN put 5 ton on the rear axle towing a trailer whilst observing the plated train weight as there is no trailer weight limit on B+E. B+E is allways a better option than C1+E if you have an old licence. The only hassle is obtaining the right downplated tug for your application, but there are many out there from 4 tons upto 12 tons payload. All without the hassle of C1+E.

you wouldnt be there a loads of mini artics on the road so it isnt a problem. Builders in london use them for the 5 ton trailer load for delivering bricks while not having to pay the crazy london day rate tax. Boat movers use them to deliver boats etc, loads of niche users.

    7.5 ton iveco

Dont understand ???? a landrover has a MAM of 7000 as do many other cars. so yes loads of cars have a mam or train weight much higher than 3500kg.

    7.5 ton iveco

I dont think so. The DVSA wouldn't be able to state a changed GTW as they are not the manufacturer. They only approve the downplate NOT state what the downplate should be.

    7.5 ton iveco

from a previous thread, this is an extreme downplate example where a cat B vehicle can tow 13 tons.
