  1. jack of all master of none. Bet they want silly money for it (anything over 1500) as well.
  2. 80-100 a day tops.
  3. haven't read all this thread. For me the Left is the real enemy of the people. so called 'antifa' animals etc Remember Hitler was a socialist. Nazi = National Socialist German Workers'Party Socialism at best fails ( Any East Euro country prior to fall of the wall, Russia and China before they got on capitalism train etc etc) and murders its population at its worst. The left is full of hate and bile wishing only to control what other people say, think and do. Probably why they get the student vote as they have no world experience, that changes as they get older.
  4. really dont see the point. if you want a pickup as a day to day wagon as well as a work wagon then get a trailer. It will have 4 times the capacity of that tiny pickup.
  5. just go bigger. hire in 5 tonner with a bigger head and use same auger bit. blast through.
  6. just to clarify for everyone. B vehicle - upto 3500kg gross weight. C1E vehicle is a 3500kg - 7500kg gross weight So the nub, a CAT B vehicle with the right train weight (e.g. downplated 7.2 ton)can tow much heavier road legally on a pre-2013 BE licence than a C1E can.
  7. "It is sort of correct as the C1E bit is limited to 8250kg." Nope. This is irrelevant as B+E is different vehicle class than C1E.
  8. illegal as is with the tyres sticking out. You will need to get mudguards to cover them or the rozzers will have you for breakfast.

    any luck ?
  10. hope you have CAA approval for commercial operation of a drone or you are breaking the law.
  11. sorry guys but its awful. I use several and this is by far the worst layout I've ever seen. Please can you rollback to the old one which was nice and easy to navigate. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
  12. ah that's different then. You need a Company UTR (companies pay corp tax) your letter is addressed to you personally. So back to the same boat, in fact worse your letter, not that it was any use anyway, is invalid.
  13. and its only labour element, so we get the invoice broken down mats fuel etc are separate. From the UTR the gov website tells us the % to stop.
  14. 90 days is a bit harsh for a subbie. I make it clear from outset no UTR number no get paid. Everyone who works in the game knows the crack anyway. Most subbies tell me they get a good wedge back each year from the CIS anyway.
  15. I would stop you 30% as your not registered as I'm required to do by law. You can then spend your time on the phone with tax man and your 18 year old letter to get it back Them's the rules.
  16. your correct 100% For the jobbing builder who does extensions etc then cash will still be prevalent. The problem is tax man knows all the tricks in the book, they have seen it all before. You have one disgruntled customer who rings up tax man to say i paid cash and your done for. For us who just do new build there is no cash and no point anyway. We get 100% vat back , the rest of the costs go against the build.
  17. not necessarily. We have subbies on for 3 months at a time sometimes. Still subbies.
  18. thats not how it works. Your letter means nothing. What happens is the builder takes your CIS number and verifies it with HMRC, HMRC then TELL the builder what to stop. This is all done online. Your paperwork really matters not.
  19. work for a builder and it will be due as you earn it, really simple. If the builder doesnt pay it monthly he will be fined. Doubt he will want to break the law just so you dont have to pay tax.
  20. Personally I think all tax should be scrapped as its a socialist concept, then all public services are private and have to earn their money based on customer service and results. but as we dont live in that utopia we are all slaves to the state. If you want to pay no tax at all then screw you and don't use any public services that the rest of us pay for (apart from the millions of immigrants of course who pay nowt). Man up, pay your measly 20% and be grateful when you get some back at the end of the year. PAYE slaves can only dream of such luck!
  21. oh the irony! The bastion of socialist lefty political correctness infested with peados and now caught paying the skirt less. Just couldn't make it up eh Sooner its abolished the better.
  22. look, worst case is you get the overpaid tax back. This is a non drama.
  23. it's the law. Any subby being paid labour has to have CIS deducted at either 30% (not registered) 20% registered or gross (registered). To be gross you have to show the tax man at least high 4 figures in the bank account and if he has any doubts about you 5 figures. 20% is a lot less than PAYE slaves are paying be grateful!
  24. its HMRC they decide and thats it. No argument! Fiddle them at your peril, they have more powers than the rozzers.
