  1. No unfortunately it's rear tip but dropping the chipper is only a few min, putting it back on is a little more tricky but once I fit the camaras this week it should be a lot easier but as long as you have a spotter it wasn't bad doing it last week. Put a hinge on it so you can swing it out alongside the trailer to tip then swing it back after.
  2. that trailer looks incredibly short. I dont think my 3 tonner would fit on it lengthways. My indespension trailer is 10 foot and the arm hangs off the back as there is not enough room to pull it in tight enough at front and not hit towing vehicle when it corners. Not sure on the laws in Oz are you allowed to have 8 foot of digger arm hanging out the back of a trailer ?
  3. that makes sense, the table is couple years old now.
  4. my old table from when i was looking at 3 tonners, the E26 is a good competitor to the kubota albeit with a lot less power.
  5. https://ke.kubota-eu.com/constructionmachinery/products/mini-excavator/kx030-4-mini-excavator-kubota-construction-machinery/ already has 2 lines and dedicated aux pump, sticks have rockers on ready.
  6. that green tracked job looks a disaster waiting to happen. One small rut and that chap suspended 5 foot in the air will be launched.
  7. dont. you will use a chain per hole. we had one on hire to slot a 600mm footing, was blunt as cheese after 20 mins.
  8. reckon on £120k+ for a small plot just big enough for a 100m2 house. if you want an acre then £400k+ round these parts.
  9. yep the 030-4 high spec version cannot be beaten in the 3 tonner class. S40 engcon on it and its a beast.
  10. nah its same dealer who's been selling it all along. No change.
  11. or use your private car to tow it. load of bollox rules.
  12. Here you go Mick, her twin sister for double your pleasure.
  13. no tits, no arse. Couldn't check for presence of an adams apple......... clean your glasses bud !
  14. totally something not femine or attractive about massive lanky birds.
  15. if your driving a combined weight of less than 3500KG from essex to newcastle this leg is ok. If you then pick up a digger that puts you over weight your in trouble as its more than 62 miles from the vehicles base. In reality are you going to get pulled in this 4 miles...
  16. i think age is secondary factor to hours and general condition on machinery. Some ex hire machines that are a year old look 10 years old after being abused to an inch of their grease nipples. They still stell for top money though.. Seems to me the market for under 3 tons is like the housing market and bungalows. People just pay more.
  17. If your in 5 ton terratory maybe go bigger as you will need a low loader to move either. You get a lot more machine for your money and a 13 tonner is very very nice while still not being too massive.
  18. im more than happy with the 3 tonner kubota, just had its first 100 hour service, she is a year old in september so we dont rack up the hours like tree guys or landscapers but its in mint condition and will stay like that until the tax has to be kept down and I'll move it on for readies (FU taxman) and start the process again. Im finding more and more now, with tight sites drainage ends up being a real pig. Shovelling trenches, barrowing etc etc. a micro just fits down a standard back garden gate (side of house) and can get it to site on the iveco without buggering about with a trailer. Once its on site (hired is cheap as cheaps)it gets used for all sorts, ive miced a whole jumbo bag of sharp and cement on 2 sheets of osb using it as we had no electric and the petrol mixer on another job. that would have been a ball ache by hand.
  19. this. have a 3 tonner already, this would be useful to do what is normally shovel work. i can get the 3 tonner same places the 1.5 will go pretty much. 12+vat is not too shabby, this comes down to £9.6k after corp tax. Show me an ISA that can make you £2400 on £12k in the first year !
  20. its armstead exacty the same just half the price of that site.
  21. that is crazy expensive prices. £16.50+vat for 5L of armstead emulsion!!!!!! I pay that for 10L at jewsons.
  22. So new tax year and time to invest the ISA into another digger as the returns are far better than any of the banks. Looking at a micro, has to be servo controls so seems its Kubota u10SL or the bobcat clone. Any operators of either offer advice ? What are they new 11k ?
  23. save your money. Use 15mm plasterboard and 2 layers of 200mm rockwool in the loft laid opposing ways. Minimum for building regs/SAP calcs on our new builds. If you want to use the loft you can spray foam between the trusses, costs more, more mess, stinks etc etc
