  1. Take out the spark plug and pull it over to see if any water comes out
  2. When you say wash it out what did u do exactly and what did you use to wash it with mate?
  3. Is that a pre mix 2 stroke? If it is it ll be 50:1 ratio but ive always run my new saws on a richer mix 40:1 for the first 5 tanks till the parts bed in. Even running it on 50:1 out the box shouldnt make it difficult to turn over though
  4. Did you use 2 stroke in the mix,if you did at what ratio?
  5. Sent from my SM-G900F using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. We run 20" bars on our 441's at work and theyre alright. I wasnt aware people didnt like the 441. Still prefer the 044 though.
  7. I 2nd stubby with the husky 560xp. Used one for the first time yesterday with an 18 "bar. Its a demon and very ergonomic compared with the stihl equivalent. Slightly higher in power in comparision to the 261
  8. Who's arguing with you about mass migration, you brought it up...again because its all you've got. Oh and you havent mentioned brexit yet... Bored of yet more of your immigration/singular culture guff. Off i pop.
  9. Awww-ive offended your delicate racist senseabities... Aw didums. This immigration bollocks you persist on spouting has no relevance on this post. You havent even got the common decency to show some compassion to those who died. Go back to the brexit/trump threads... Thats all you post about anyway.
  10. Same guff i see matelot... Change the record its boring my tits off
  11. Channel 4 news are sayin the perpetrator was Trevor Brooks also known as Abu Izzadeen,a well known preach hater, born in the UK.
  12. Firstly heart goes out too those affected, awful thing too happen. Predictable guff from you matelot. How do you know the attacker wasnt born in the UK ? Cant blame everything on immigration.. Although you would like too eh.
  13. Had the same problems with hot starting my 135,utter shite, newer 201's utter shite,441' pretty shite. All in all new stihls are utter shite. Our old 044 was great till it was retired due to the high havs exposure. Older saws are better built in my opinion.
  14. I dont think improving chainsaw safety features is a priority here,if at all.For me its lack of concentration, fatigue or just plain complacency. Time constraints are also an issue but i still think the major factor is using a saw for so long you become complacent.
  15. Its a complete power unit, doesnt say 020av on it but im sure it is.Here's a couple of pictures i took of it this morning.Let me know what u think mate.
  16. Here's a link to a youtube vid by arborismo joe with the j cut on a windblow course
  17. Pretty sure ive got a complete power unit in my lock up. It used too run(might still) but it was boggin down at rev. I ll have a look tomorrow and post a picture to see if its the right saw. Id sell it on to you no problem.
  18. My mates got a small log burner in his shed. Roasty toasty in there.
  19. Woa thats cheap, our guys charge 65quid a kit. Lowering and rigging kits are 80quid a kit.
  20. If im understanding you right then that wouldnt work as your hitch wouldnt take all of your weight. Remember in ddrt a much lower percentage of your body weight is on the hitch, much or the main percentage of your weight is on the anchor point and both ends of your rope. This is why in srt you need a two friction devices rope wrench and a hitch to hold your weight. I (sometimes) use an adjustable cambium saver on stems whilst choggin down. You can make your own by buying a split tail and a pulley prussik.
  21. For stems on ddrt an adjustable cambium saver works for me,i use a 5 meter split tail with a revolver biner in the eye and a prussik with a ring on it
  22. I havent climbed on the hitch climber for a while but if i remember i had it perfected with a triple attachment pulley 75cm stein hitch cord(i think it was copius) and a knut hitch. It had very little sitback and didnt need regular tweaking.
  23. Had you said on the original post that it was for srt you would have got more relevant answers. As for long ascents then yeah ascenders are more ergonomic. I dont climb srt buuuut i have a haas that is awesome on long ascents on ddrt. Plenty of srt threads on these pages for your perusal if thats your thing. Kiwi klimbers do spikes with an ascender attatched thats meant for srt.
  24. Lost a couple of retrevial balls and gave up on them. A wee knots just as easy mark.
  25. Some people on here splice ropes.Dunno if it would come with a ce for loler purposes though. Most arb suppliers sell ropes with spliced eyes. Of the several ropes ive had from marlow, yale and tachyon with spliced eyes all have went through the small ring of my cambium savers. Infact my 11.5 tachyon has to have a knot tied in it or it goes straight through the small ring when retrieving my cambium saver.
