  1. Wow u must be pretty hard on em them. Big rapid decents..? Weeeeeeee!!
  2. True it is good cord but be careful which hitch you use as i had a eye to eye fail loler due to the core being crushed and as a result "compromised"
  3. Only hitch cord that i got to bite every time was marlow boa using a knut.
  4. A cynic might say she picked him... Didnt watch it but im sure it was public money well spent,i mean we have about a hundred more deserving causes but too be fair id pay a years taxes just to see prince philips face when he realised he had an american black catholic lady in his family.
  5. Consumtion of mind altering substances. Just like back in the 60's stubby..
  6. Anyone ever have privot cuttings vanish on em??? Took a 12 ft privot hegde down to waist height and piled about half the cuttings after chippin the rest.Came back later to chip the rest and they were gone. Why would anyone want privot??? Aint complaining
  7. If you could just move your company too glasgow mate id jump on board. Exactly the kind of role im lookin for. Good luck hope you get someone soon
  8. 441 on a 20"bar full chisel chain is a good saw but id agree with stubby and get the 365 and get it upgraded to 372 spec
  9. Its easy to sit and watch a 30 second video and say what the climber/groundie should or shouldnt have done. In reality until your in that position and see up close what the issues are then no one will know if the job could have been done without that leader failing.
  10. Dont think ive had an issue with my 150 bogging down but i dont horse it through bigger stuff. Run it on a 10" bar and it has the exhaust bored out and timing advance.Dont use 201's that often now..
  11. Heard a story of a lad in our department but in another base went on his small tree felling refresher. He was felling a forward leaner so bored in from the side, left the saw in the tree to check the other side and the tutor/assessor chinned him for not engaging the chain brake. Its got exsessive now imo. Half the time engaging the chain brake on these courses is unmerited. But its what is required to pass the course
  12. Been watching pfanner man vids for ages.Excellent climber and rigger, has been promoting srt for donkeys. 70 notes is fantastic value for money. Would love to go too that..
  13. What are the grips made of?
  14. Most definetly.I would think most employers would deem basic felling/crosscutting ticket as a pre requisit. Chipper ticket and a towing license are also very desirable
  15. There are some pretty good trainers in scotland so contact some and get prices for your tickets.Besides that try and get some work with a local company as practical experience really is the best gauge of the industry. Put an advert on here under the employment section saying your lookin for work experience as there are some guys on here that are in and around your area in Inverness. Best of luck mate Welcome to the tree world
  16. Aah ok, well as far as im aware the newer 261's dont seem to be affected by the needle bearing problem. We have a newer 261 that is actually a good little saw.Runs on a 16 " bar, full chisel chain and its pretty ballsy.

    Mr

Interested to know what kind of loads you've subjected them too and how they hold up to the bigger stuff
  18. Dont let anything or anyone break your concentration.Double check everything before cutting...always.
  19. Chain brake issues can be a symptom of other underlying problems. Is the chain brake stiff and difficult to engage? If so have you checked for a build up of crud under the cover
  20. You been workin on your guns reg? The pints must be heavy in BC.. Nice work as always. Any rot at the base of the pop?
  21. We use those soft yellow leather ones, pretty good but dont get em wet or your hands will look like bart simpsons
  22. Ironicly i just saw this on facebook. Top work.Very detailed Fantastic
