  1. Well of course it’s my opinion. But it’s an opinion based on owning and using battery saws in tree work for a while. Yours is based on having a play one time on a course. At the moment they can’t match the power of the bigger saws. Doesn’t mean they aren’t preferable for other work.
  2. Buy multiple batteries. You never had to refill your saw with petrol?
  3. Like crime in a multi storey car park, you’re wrong on many levels.
  4. Battery blower is great, would recommend, never use the petrol ones these days, especially good for cleaning radiators on chippers etc. You don’t need huge power to turn a fan, and there’s no resistance so suits battery power.
  5. Don’t be daft, they grow back in the spring.
  6. Here we go then. Lewis Capaldi not strictly my cup of tea, but did well. Looking forward to Alanis Morrisette.
  7. A new low for this site.
  8. Thanks Jase, Oak removal today, should be routine enough, can park alongside etc. Last day of normal (29 degrees) before another heatwave. Secured a decent clearance job last night. The wolf, whilst still in plain view on the drive, has at least moved away from the door a bit!
  9. @woody paul depending on the thickness, those battery loppers are brillliant for regrowth like that.
  10. I have met Steve, we bear no physical resemblance at all. What we both possess (and what you’re seeing) is kavorka.
  11. 105cm from the tip to the bit where it disappears behind the side cover so 46” maybe?
  12. If, perchance, anyone wants an 088 2001, runs perfectly. Used about once a year for a couple of cuts, and can wait till August when I’m coming over.. A grand cash. 84635382-65d2-457b-9779-71cd3d7b719c.mp4
  13. I’m pretty sure that the Merlo made all that superfluous.
  14. Not sure if Les is just laughing at my refusal to have it on the truck.
  15. My Nephew in Yorkshire again. Working with @bigtreedon for Huw Forestry (Ben Jenkins) Rob riding the ball and setting the slings, Don doing the cutting. Wind looks a bit intense! 137e6dda-6c18-479f-98fc-cb9137027a59.mov
  16. It’s not all about money. Part of the pleasure of this job is using quality equipment made by engineers with the pro in mind. I love using my saws, chippers, loaders whatever, because I can feel the effort that’s been made by these guys to make these things work well. I couldn’t put a pile of junk like that on my truck. One day you’ll understand.
  17. Mornin Stubs, gruesome day ahead, thuja hedge reduction in 30+. just get on with it and think of the money I suppose.
  18. Well, a famous victory. If there’s one trait that Stokes has that seems to be reflected in his team, it’s that they never give up.
  19. Amazing test against India. England seeming hanging on by their fingernails all test, now likely to win. Edit Duckett just been caught!
  20. ‘You know how I said I’d clear it all up and save €300 off the price….? well I’ve changed my mind’ ’you see, it doesn’t work that way I’m afraid…..bye’
