Not dissimilar for me, first of 2 days winching out stuff fallen in a river. Using the Avant, so on a smaller scale than yours I imagine. No chipping, customer clear up. I’ll document it for perusal later.

My policy on this sort of thing is simple. I either take it out completely or I don’t touch the tree. -
I hear you. But tbh we have max 3 or 4 years left in this house. So that’s always a consideration in these decisions. For instance our asparagus bed ran out of steam couple of years back, not worth replanting new crowns as you have to wait 3 years to the first harvest.

Self employed small business owner, with one full time employee. Been in the business 30 years. Have zero problem these days with people remaining anonymous on here. If they break the rules Steve breaks out the ban hammer. Otherwise, it’s the internet with all that entails.

Not any more. That lot cost only €200. I just don’t know how anyone can make money milling when the local Brico Leclerc is selling treated timber at that price.
