  1. Very good! These two trees are though a gate and up steps behind a house, not an easy removal. I have already flatly refused to top them many times. Genuinely, they have spent a small fortune with me over the last 15 years (and they’re American so expect their ‘expert’ to show some expertise occasionally)
  2. I know, and there is a debate to be had about it. I saw some bloke who video tapes himself mountain biking in the Dolomites along perilous ridges fell off and met his maker. If none of these adrenaline junkie sorts didn’t lose no one would watch. I have no time for people who gamble their lives for fun or clicks. It’s all you’ve got, and all you’ll ever have.
  3. You reckon? Does that explain the powdery white deposits?
  4. Well, if you continue to do death defying stuff, at some point death won’t be defied.
  5. Good client so I’m making the effort. 2 Spruce (might be Douglas, I’d need to see the cones, terrible on conifers) They sent me some pictures, one has this sort of powdery bits on, best seen in the close up. Browning off needles bla blah. I need a disease to give them if you know what I mean. Any of you lot know what it is? TIA

  7. My comment was not really aimed at you Lily, no offence. Honestly this garden/border dispute has lost all interest for me. I am not sure what more can be said about it
  8. Fencers, like most tradies won’t get involved in border disputes. They certainly won’t like being considered as ‘muscle’ for one side or the other.
  9. Still hot today, so got an easy morning booked. Easy enough for the lad to climb, so he’ll be happy. Plus they have a Scottish Terrier called Alfie. I’ll get a picture (of the dog, the tree work is a bit dull)
  10. Yes, a bonfire would be ideal. I’ll always be stuck with an area of brambles and rotten wood. They seem to have abandoned chipping now it’s not economical. When we sell the place in a few years it’ll undoubtedly be a minus to prospective buyers.
  11. Too many farmers and others with top quality splitters/processers/packers who own chestnut woodlands to even contemplate doing firewood. In the same vein high technology sawmills everywhere turning out tonnes of building lumber. I have specialised in what I do. I believe it’s been a good decision.
  12. we both love soup…
  13. I know, but I was too busy spooning caviar down my cakehole and slurping the finest wines known to humanity using the money that the dismantling paid me to bother with that.
  14. 3.5 hectares so plenty of room
  15. Perhaps they do, I suspect it’s the selective nature of the info given, and the frequent disappearing.
  16. Harsh, but at this point, fair.
  17. Tbh I’m surprised what amounts to little more than a shrub has an individual TPO. But there you go.
  18. Well I just had this mountain of wood piling up, no real plan for it, till some bloke offered to pay me for some of it. simple as that.
  19. 4 metre high Laburnum? Park up the crane lorry and stick the 880 back in the shed lads.
  20. Who you talking to Paddy?
  21. They’re called gifs. You use emojis.
  22. Yeah yeah, good things are good and bad things are bad.
