  1. You can lead a horse to water.......
  2. Doesn't look like it's done a good job sharpening, not enough hook on the teeth, what did it cut like?
  3. Resilient types those sycs, thanks for the info.
  4. One look at the knuckles should tell you that,
  5. Conventional wisdom would suggest that sycamore would rot at the pollard point a lot. What's the story? How many times have you done it? And did you treat it as a pollard from the off. Not often we can plot the whole history of a tree like that.
  6. Decent enough, are those your socks on the line? Did she do them in exchange?
  7. I looooooove my 550, apart from the toppers it's the first saw in the van.
  8. Well after cancelling yesterday we have to go out today, listening to the rain slapping into the velux doesn't help. Two smallish jobs so we'll soldier on.
  9. It's actually just the One Show on a Sunday night.
  10. It was a sort of Sunday night light hearted post with a chance to show Vic & Bob. I just sit there and think that it's lost it's way, I appreciate there's only so many times you can watch a lamb being born or the like, but it's just a magazine programme with no particular theme except people walking around in wellies talking to the camera.
  11. I was unaware there was a conflict or that one had to take sides.
  12. You're right about who finds it popular I reckon.
  13. Called it off today as well, but was fixing (or trying to) stuff in the workshop, paperwork etc It's pretty blowy even all the way down here.
  14. A lot David, unlike many, I like a bit of grinding and this has rekindled my affection for it. Biggest problem is that it's not as easy to get into tight spaces and it's a pig to move if it doesn't want to as it only has 2wd. Other than that I love it!
  15. [ame] [/ame] Done on an iPhone, suprisingly good quality I thought.
  16. This was the first stump with my brand new grinder a while back. What a happy day. (Rg35 btw)
  17. Nothing like some pictures of trees on cars on the telly to get the phone ringing!
  18. I liked/like Coast, it knew it's remit and it did/does it well.
  19. I changed the blade pockets on my 2003 after a blade came out and damaged it. Not difficult and was just bolted if I remember. Maybe some weld but came out easy enough.
  20. It's godawful these days, I don't know what it's meant to be about. A bit of Coast, flooding every week, a bit of celeb cooking, the awful Matt Baker, the bloody calendar! How long has it been going in its present format? Time for some new blood, these boys seem a natural fit....... [ame] [/ame]
  21. Accelerant wise, old engine oil is the best, coupled with a blower.
