  1. That's probably the best solution I've seen.
  2. Oh bollocks to it! I try to only take one day off a week due to the weather, didn't work Wednesday because of the rain/wind but it's worse today. Cancelled today.
  3. I would say the 10/12 week course would be your ideal next step.
  4. I've got well over 2000 hrs and 12 years on my TW150, it doesn't come out every day now, but it still does a job when needed, a lot depends on your "ear" for issues and your maintenance.
  5. I've used a tw230 and I thought it was spectacularly good. Wasn't the 240 a shredder?
  6. You mean talk of regularly cleaning of crevices is grossly exaggerated?
  7. Air filters are on my list of things I actually do.
  8. Further to another thread. I have never changed a fuel filter in a petrol tank. I have never greased a bar tip on any saw or the clutch bearing on a husky. I have never cleaned the fins on my 2 strokes. In twenty years I have not changed more than 10spark plugs on the saws/strimmers/hedge cutters. When I have it's usually in an effort to fix a saw, and it hasn't worked. Despite all this my saws/bars seem to last as long as anyone's. I'm perplexed, what am I doing wrong, or right?
  9. You can start with a pressure test on the crank seals. Carb issues etc... They're getting on a bit now. Spud will give you the lowdown in a bit I expect.
  10. Rain & wind stopped play today. Picked up a new trailer though, so not all bad!
  11. Long shot really, I'm looking at this for a yard/general purpose machine. Don't really know much about them, 6 tonnes, 4wd. 3500 hrs 12000€ Anyone know anything? Not much on Google.
  12. Fair enough Gary. They'd be a lot of people going straight home from some of the outfits I've been associated with!
  13. I use 50.1 on all my saws from the toppers to the 088.
  14. I'm the same, broad frame, thin waist, washboard stomach, huge thighs, bulging biceps with shiny chestnut hair cascading like a waterfall over my muscular shoulders. Piercing blue eyes, with a Roman nose and square jaw. It's a right booger getting clothes to fit.....
  15. Somehow or other Dorset Hedgelayer is my FB friend so I saw this. Well done all.
  16. Day rate is for losers. Honestly, you've got to figure it out for yourself.
  17. Ahh, so it's square chisel. How does that cut?
