  1. [ame] [/ame]Picture/video whatevs. Had to do an action vid of the GM for a couple of prospective buyers so thought a bit of big wood getting swallowed on a spring morning might hit the spot. It's field maple so pretty tough.
  2. The action required was a factory upgrade that worked a treat, trouble is we had to shell out €200 for the privilege.
  3. Inch or two deep, I just use a chainsaw to dig grooves rather than a drill.
  4. So, I'm scrapping my 98 transit, it's got 4 good tyres on the back 185/r15 My newer 2008 tranny has four 3/4 worn 185/r16 on. My question is can I swap the 15s over to the newer truck without any issues? No point giving them away to the scrappy. Thanks in advance.
  5. Maybees, but I only like takedowns. I stay out of the mud.
  6. Others may differ. Drill around outer edge, pour neat glyphosphate into the holes then cover with a bin bag to prevent spillage in case of rain. IME an ash stump that large is unlikely to resprout. Maybe yours already is though.....
  7. Ok, I get it. I seem to recall on those old old beech pollards in the woods that you were doing you were giving them the lightest of tickles, without the end game of significant reduction.
  8. Tbh I'm not interested in your business ethics, nor was my post reference to it. "A Drink" as in "there's a drink in it for you..." is money. Edit. I see you've edited your own post, we're singing from the same song sheet it seems. All good.
  9. You're the only person I know of that would think that.
  10. Out of curiosity why would you want to bring it down further? Why not just a 2 mtr reduction then redo it in 10 or 20 years? Why the compulsion to get it further down?
  11. Just in case there was any confusion, "A Drink" is an unspecified amount of money, usually (but not exclusively) £20 or a £50.
  12. Always enjoy the vids and rigging solutions on those broad spreading eucs.
  13. Trouble is they probably have mates that they use anyway. People they trust in their clients gardens. Most tree companies have business relationships with garden maintenance/ landscapers but these have started and been built organically rather than as a cold hard business deal. A "drink" will usually suffice.
  14. That was the best of the bunch as well!
  15. If it was your intention to hurt me...... you've succeeded:001_smile:
  16. What, I look a bit of a state?
  17. My wallet, it's taken a bit of a battering lately.

  19. Dave, that doesn't make sense, explain please.
  20. Can't stop myself! Husky. pokey but made of cheese. 201.early ones rubbish, newer ones bang on. Echo. Good, cheap but embarrassing.
  21. Here's hoping! I'm (thankfully) quite busy these days and breakdowns due to older equipment gets old really quickly.
