Laid up with a bad back at the moment. So instead of getting on with stuff I watched the England/Sri Lanka cricket. It's as if this is the perfect format for cricket, thrilling throughout. I can't remember being as engaged by a sports match for a while. Plus England won! Fast forward a few years I think this is the cricket we'll all be watching.

Sorry to re edit. Set a rope up in the pine, attach it to the top of the Euc, nibble away at as many branches as poss, then chunk the bottom of until you're taking the weight...

Looks like there's only the fence to damage, why not start from the bottom? Sorry I see now you say it has to be lowered. Set a rope in the pine and start from the bottom, taking a metre ar a time.
