    Reasonably common, I see them regularly cross crossing the fields at this time of year. I will say that I’m fairly confident they’re hen and not marsh harriers. The males are almost gull like in colour, barn owl like in the way they scan the fields.

    Joys of a Landrover? Not yet, just finished the spraying. Pics soon. Leaks on new loader and problem with the Ranger. No biggy but slows us down a lot.

    I have a number of machines/véhicules being repaired atm, so am a bit idle. Complicating things is exactly what I’m looking to do.

    Maybe, curious that the leaves on the ‘shady’ side haven’t opened compared to the other side. Be good to get another picture/perspective.

    Could be phototropism caused by the large tree that’s throwing shadow in the picture. What time of day was the photo taken?

    I prefer the ‘running them over with my tractor mower until they rot away and look like dog turds’ method. Less picking up involved.

    I can’t stand apples on my lawn so I do this every 3 years or so. No point mucking about, it’ll look lovely by July.

    I’d remove the top 1/3 ie. The V Clearly it has been re.re.re reduced a few times, they’ve tried to leave sap pullers/gone back to live growth, very important on birch. Seen a lot worse.
