  1. I’ve been giving my old faithful 555 a run out today. Normally my Mk2 550 does everything but thought I’d give the old girl a day in the woods. Had it 4-5 years, never missed a beat 💪🏼
  2. CHC Tree Care. Chris is the man, but he is booked up and busy til end of March. He’d be happy to help then.
  3. Faller's Suspension Kit (500i) WESTCOASTSAW.COM The Faller's Suspension Kit is a heavy duty upgrade from the Stihl 500i factory system. This kit gives the saw a much... I think they ship to the UK.
  4. It’s a private account I think but that link takes you to their account.

  6. I saw on Instagram the other day that West Coast Saws are doing some kind of beefy looking upgraded AV mount for the 500i.
  7. Bizarrely enough, my Husky 525 blower which has been ran exclusively on Aspen started playing up at the exact time this thread was started! And I’m called Mike too, @miker have you unleashed a hex or annoyed a witch who has cursed all Husky blowers owned by people called Mike?! 😂 Jokes aside, I mentioned this to my good friend @Gray git who reckons it just needs some tuning to alleviate the problem which is down to the cold weather we’ve been having. He did explain it all to me but I was drinking beer so the information has been forgotten. Seems plausible though and I’ll let him sort it for me as he is such a good guy 😜
  8. Excellent mate, I’m sure it’ll become second nature soon enough. And having a cab is always a pleasure! Bet the crane is like grease lightning compared to the LB. No worries about the phone call! I tried calling you back but presumed if it was urgent you’d touch base again. Catch up soon my friend!
  9. Ps. @Big J I had a two minute long voicemail from you of nothing but silence...... was this a cryptic message or non intentional?! 🧐😆
  10. 😍😍😍😍 I bet it’s a ripper! He fettled my 390, I loath taking it out, I prefer to just stand back and admire it! 😂
  11. Loads of forestry folks on my Instagram feed rave about the 500i. I have a 572 and like it a lot. It doesn’t feel quite as tough as a 372 perhaps, but I think it’ll hold up ok.
  12. Giving it some now. Sledge primed and ready, snowman building to commence later this morning!
  13. @Gray git recently replaced the tipping back on his Grafter, and did an absolutely Stella job of it. Works out considerably cheaper if you do it yourself (unsurprisingly).
  14. Snow here. Good inch perhaps and it’s putting it down now. Complete forking inconvenience, and getting on my tits big time! Had a week of solid machine work in, and managed one day. Jobs been called off by client so nowt I can do other than accept it and get the sledge out. Shame sledging doesn’t pay the bills! 🤦🏼‍♂️ We’ve only just got the boy back into nursery and now he is having to stay off again.
  15. It’s raining blue Valtras at the moment it seems! Well done all. I can confirm @Gray git new one is an absolute beast. It’s like the starship enterprise! Swinny your new one looks well tidy too mate.
  16. Spot on Paddy. Unless anyone else chips in with some recommendations, I think we have a winner!
  17. This looks like a potentially good option. Main powered rather than petrol but about bang on budget. Kranzle K1050P Pressure Washer - Medium Domestic Pressure Washers - CleanStore WWW.CLEANSTORE.CO.UK Kranzle K1050P Pressure Washer Professional Quality for Domestic Environments - Reliable, Durable &...
  18. These seem to come out well on tests. Anyone any experience using this particular model? Wilks Genuine USA TX750i Petrol Pressure Washer - 8.0HP 3950Psi / 272Bar: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Great prices on your favourite Gardening brands, and free delivery on eligible orders.
  19. Morning all. I’m in need of a decent pressure washer. The Logbullet is getting absolutely caked up in mud at the moment, and with the prospect of my own yard space very close on the horizon I’m no longer going to have access my good mate John’s Stihl one. It’ll be mains power and mains water fed. The Stihl one I’ve used was decent but is always good to explore the options out there, and I trust (the majority 😉) of knowledgeable folks on here for completely impartial advice.... budget is likely up to circa £300.
  20. Mk2 550 is a weapon. It cuts like a 60cc saw, I run mine on an 18 most of the time but recently dropped back to a 15. Absolutely brilliant. And definitely get XPG model. Worth every penny extra.
  21. Couldn’t agree more with all those points Matty! Well said!
  22. @bigtreedon bet the owner of that red VW was popular! 🤦🏽😆
  23. I’ve come to the conclusion it’s impossible to please everyone Rob. There will always be some who are left disappointed or annoyed, and some times it’s justified, most times it’s not and is due to a breakdown in communications somewhere along the line. Unfortunately in this digital age everyone had a platform/soapbox on which they can vent their issues. Because everyone is entitled to other people’s opinion! The service I’ve had from you and the clan had been top notch. You even helped me out when I clearly had my brain plugged in backwards and I thought my bar had its oil holes on the wrong place! 😆 Keep up the good work, I’m sure your skin is thick enough to weather the rough times that pop up occasionally.
  24. Just pop the cheque in the post mate. Looks like I might need the money to pay back my BBL 😆🤦🏼‍♂️💩
