  1. I’ve a job starting hopefully in a few weeks, it’s very decent grade ash and I’ll be getting £60-65 p/ton roadside.
  2. I concur. Its in broken American speak I reckon!
  3. I know nothing about fungi, I'll openly admit that. But this specimen I thought was very cool. Anyone care to enlighten me?
  4. Speak to the boys at Abax. Mention you’ve come to them through Arbtalk (and me recommending them too!) and you’ll get a good deal. So far I’m happy with mine.
  5. Nice choice fella. I got mine mapped/chipped/tinkered with, whatever you want to call it. Makes 240bhp now and 500nm torque and pulls my Logbullet around no bother at all. I got some Pedders shocks and springs for the rear end (after a recommendationon here), this stiffened it up a fair deal and made towing much more friendly. I've had no problems at all until recently. I had the central diff light start flashing on the dash, and I couldn't change transmission selection. The problem was a switch on top of transfer box, all 5 need changed apparently and they cost £60 each. Plus labour, job was near £600 but its all done now and working fine again. That's the only problem I'm had in two tears, doing 21k miles. Mines a 2010 too.
  6. Excellent. I’ll recommend this to my dad. When he was in his early teens he successfully rode his old Norton all the way from Keswick to Australia. The trip was memorable for many reasons, the most noteworthy was when he got stabbed in the back and robbed in South Africa!
  7. My Shogun is very thirsty, trips to filling station are usually similar to above at around £80-100. But I love the truck, gets to where I need it after I added some decent AT tyres. Also replaced rear suspension for a set up from Pedders so it tows beautifully. I must admit I was eyeing up the Amarok as a family car....
  8. I have a 2010 3.2 LWB Shogun, and I love it. I tow my Logbullet around with it, and it'll drop below 20mpg at times. I have had mine breathed upon though, so now returns 240bhp and 500nm torque vs standard. Mega truck, I really rate it. And I like to refer to the fuel consumption as smiles per gallon 😄
  9. @josharb87 nice work mate! Still enjoying the bullet?
  10. Image on the left is by the A66, image on the right could equally be at the same place.
  11. I often think my memory has reached maximum capacity. I tell folk I have to forget old stuff to be able to remember new stuff, and I’m 39! 😂 I’m not sure the years of going raving and chomping down pills has helped my cause unfortunately. I didn’t stop to think about at the time as I was young and foolish and having a good time. I’m sure me and my friends will all be effected by it at some point. On a side note, a few years ago I noticed my old man started to repeat himself a lot. Sometimes he’d tell me the same same thing 2 or 3 times in an afternoon. I was a bit worried, but ultimately I think it’s just his age as he is 76. I mentioned it to my mum and she wasn’t bothered!

Well when I started this thread, I was close to running out. But since then I've done hardly any cutting at all as I've been working the Logbullet nonstop! With that in mind I think I'll have to avoid the bio stuff as some times my saws can sit for a while unused. I'll likely stick to the super sexy stuff but could be tempted by the John Deere harvester stuff I tried once...
  13. Haha! Yeah because some twunt chipped a load of conny laced with sand before you hired it! 😂
  14. Two words: Hired chipper 🤪👌🏼

  16. Just to chip in and say Steve did my website, and I’m very happy with it. Click the link below should you feel the need to cast your eye over it.
  17. Bonny day mate, and look at that beautifully presented timber! 😍
  18. Aye it’s not a bad place to call home these days! The Lake District will always be my proper home but I do enjoy living here these days. We have friends who live Scorton way, North Cowton to be precise. We ultimately would like to end up that way as it’s a bit more rural than where we are now.
  19. If you’re bored and have 45 mins to kill, you can listen to me waffle on about Low Impact Forestry and the mighty Logbullet. Big thanks to Tom at All Things Arb for having me on for a chin wag! 20. I’m in Richmond mate, Gilling side of town.
  21. Another two stunners less than 2 minutes from my house.
  22. Whilst I agree entirely that it’s good for habitat and keeping a tree that’s ultimately healthy by ugly as sin is the right thing to do..... it still offends my eyes on a near daily basis! 😆
