  1. Correct. 10 points to Gryffindor!
  2. Something a bit different today! Birch bundles off to become horse jumps. When I first spoke to the chap doing the job, he said he was hoping for 500-1000 a day. I bawked, but actually I think I moved about 300 perhaps, in a few hours so the initial target is achievable! Bed extension coming into its own today.
  3. Not too bad mate. Has developed an oil leak from somewhere, but nothing to worry about just yet! I had her working on this job, and she didn't miss a beat. Just clicked onto 800 hours on the clock.
  4. These are just for you @Big J 😁 Another awful day at the office, its really hard to find the motivation to keep going sometimes 🤣
  5. I can't convey enough how gentle I am when driving. It all stems from the nasty fishtailing incident I had. I was very steady before then, even more so now! The thing is, these trouble started out of nowhere. I've used the trailer without fault for over 2 years. The Logbullet hasn't changed weight magically overnight. The heat is on the hubs, and the central part of the wheel where the wheels studs locate. It's very hot to touch.
  6. I'm a very caution driver, slow and steady! Use my gearbox to slow down where possible, and try to avoid heavy braking. Funnily enough, when I initially had the problem I borrowed a mates 16ft twin axle trailer. One wheel get very hot on that too!
  7. When we replaced the damper we checked it, seemed fine.
  8. Few from the last few days. It's a hard life 😁
  9. I'll get a snap, but it runs level and nicely flat overall.
  10. New damper fitted this morning. They kindly gave it to me for cost price, but the same god dam problem persists. I have had 2 independent Ifor Williams dealers go over the whole brake system and they can't find fault. Hopefully the trailer will go up in flames soon so the issue is over 🤣🙈😂
  11. I have that very kit fitted 👍🏻
  12. Latest update! So I have absolutely zero time to look into this myself, I’m flat out busy, with a young family at home. And now it’s bloody dark so early, I have even less time! I decided to take it into a different local dealer, with a hope they can sort it. Dropped off on Monday, picked up today and £80 worse off for doing so, low and behold…… it’s worse than it was before! 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ So that’s two dealers who have both stripped all the brakes, checked everything else and assured me they are working as they should be. Which leads me back to my initial thought that it was the damper in the coupling causing issue. Both times it’s been at dealers it’s not had weight on. So tomorrow I’m driving down with the Logbullet on the back so they can see first hand what the temperature of the hubs is like. Also it might be easier to see what’s causing issues when weight is on. I’ll be mightily pissed off if it is the damper, mainly with myself, but pissed off nonetheless!
  13. Look up Dan at MediArb 👍🏻
  14. I have a pair. I found them warm in the summer compared to my Solidur Infinity Trousers. I wear them now when I'm forwarding but might need to use a saw on occasion throughout the day. Great build quality overall, I like them. Long in the leg I found which I like.
  15. Bumped into this beauty at the Cotswold Animal Park, photo doesn't do it justice! There were some mega trees there, and some mega animals too.
  16. Just read your initial post properly.... Sorry I can't advise on what it's like up a tree! The only time mine is near the top of a tree is after I've felled it!
  17. I've got one. Absolutely fantastic saw. I run an 18 inch bar on mine, it doesn't even notice. Used hard in forestry, first thinnings especially, and it's been phenomenonal. Stump up the extra for heated handles too. Buy one, you won't regret it!
  18. Went to Blenheim Palace today...... Sod the building, the trees were unreal!
  19. I'll see your wet ground, and raise your with some not quite so wet ground, lovely timber, and some annoying rhododendrons.
  20. Watching people try to reverse is equal parts amusing and alarming. I often have to reverse my Shogun with logbullet on triple axle trailer on the back, as its quicker and easier than Johnny Ballbag trying to reverse there f#%king Nissan Juke 12ft backwards to a wide spot.
  21. As someone who had to pay to acquire my trailer license, via training and coaching on some very worthwhile topics I must add, I can see this from both sides. One of the biggest concerns I have is that now the terrible drivers I witness on a daily basis who somehow have a license to drive a car alone, are completely free to tow things and make themselves into an even bigger risk. The amount of idiots out there who don’t even understand what the letter on their gearstick is for, let alone how to use it is staggering. And now they can legally be even more of a hazard to everyone else. I feel that having to pay to get your towing license was indeed annoying and often unnecessary, but it did act as a kind of filter to stop the masses doing so. Now it’s going to be a free for all. On the flip side, some really decent lads who cut for me are now going to be able to help me out massively by being able to tow as well. Now this won’t be something I’ll allow lightly, they’ll need to know and show they are capable. But often for the self employed, in forestry and Arb at least, the time and cost it took to get the towing license was too great. There are plus and minus point so both arguments, as always. AllI can say is good luck to everyone!
  22. Volvo V60. Its a bit of a sleeper 😎
