  1. I bought an off-road type trolley for carting stuff to the beach with the kids. Nicely built and impressed so far. From a company/website called Outdoor Professional Products, was about £80 but only available in red or green 😜
  2. I've been following a fellow Logbullet owner who did just that. Much bigger axle, and bored out the bogey to accommodate it. The issue you have on machines like this, is ever time you strengthen it up, you just move the weak point somewhere else. The failure on this one was entirely down to me hitting a high stump that I couldn't see. It bent the axle a tiny bit, which set it on the way and it progressively got worse until it snapped. I've done the front ones twice, one was just over 2 years ago. I've done one rear one, but that had external factors too. Overall, the downtime isn't terrible and seen as we've done it a few times, the cost of repair isn't terrible either.
  3. Looks worse than it is. Stub axle sheared, it’s been in the post for a while truth be told. I’m quite amazed it lasted this long! It’s a morning to repair, done it a few times now.
  4. Unfortunately I sold the spare about 2 weeks ago 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣
  5. Another day at the office 🤣
  6. I just ordered 1000L of Red and it was 106.9 I think (my memory is so bad, it was quite literally 3 hours ago that I ordered it)
  7. I doesn't seem to come with hose or accessories either so they're an extra cost to factor in.
  8. Well spotted! Most times when things look like a mega deal, they ain't! 🤣
  9. Reviving this thread! ND3/50 CM3 - 2.2kW/3Hp 50Lt WWW.COMPRESSORSHOP.CO.UK ND3/50 CM3 2.2kW, 8 Bar, 50Lt Receiver, 230v The ND3/50 CM3 is an ideal compressor for general use for applications... Direct drive, 50l capacity, 3hp, and reasonable price? Am I missing something or is this a good old fashioned deal?
  10. I was going to add a similar statement to the “biggest issues facing our industry” thread. I can’t stand arbs doing forestry! 🤣
  11. Friday and Saturday, hope to say hello to a few.
  12. Logbullet Low Impact Mini Forwarder | Forest Machine Magazine FORESTMACHINEMAGAZINE.COM Low Impact Forestry Ltd offers an environmentally-friendly approach to sustainable timber harvesting... The digital version of last year's printed magazine feature is now available online, should anyone wish to browse it!
  13. Morning all. I’m after a basic air compressor for my yard. It’ll be used for blowing up tyres, and cleaning out saws etc, so an all singing all dancing beast is not necessary. Any recommendations out there? One of the first to pop up on the old Google search are a company called SGS, they appear well priced and UK made I think. Anybody had experience of them? SGS 24 Litre Direct Drive Air Compressor & 5 Piece Tool Kit WWW.SGS-ENGINEERING.COM The SGS 24 litre air compressor and starter kit is ideal for DIY and trade applications such as spray-painting, tyre inflation... Budget £150-200 ideally.
  14. Had the 572 and 550 out earning their keep today. They are simply stunning! The 572 is an animal, pulls the 28" bar like it's a 15"! Felling with the 572, and then snedding and processing with the 550 is a dream pairing. I shot some head cam footage earlier, I'll try and edit it later and upload if I get chance. Hats off to Mark though, amazing work @Crockylad!
  15. So the main man @Crockyhas worked his magic on 2 of my saws. The 572 is a thing of beauty! But the 550 is also a great little saw that I can't wait to use. I'll do a more in-depth look at both saws on the forthcoming weeks. So far, very impressive!
  16. I'll just leave these here for now..... 😎👌🏼🍻
  17. I can vouch for Moose here, I did the same for my 572 on his recommendation and it was smooth as silk.
  18. Bon voyage amigo! Thanks for all your help and knowledge regards all things Logbullet 👍🏻
  19. I've never thought tea travelled well in a flask. And I found if you committed to making a particular drink in your flask (tea or coffee) then it tainted it so you had to stick with whatever you picked. Nowadays I have 2 coffees before work, and I cup of Yorkshire Tea when I get home. Nothing but H2O for me during the day time!
  20. If anyone was planning to visit the Great Yorkshire Show the week after next, feel free to nip down to the forestry exhibition and say hello 👍🏼

  23. I was absolutely blown away the first time I worked with @Gray gitand his Merlo. It was a roadside, multi stemmed sycamore, and it was a lump and a half. Would've taken a good team of 3 men, maybe 2 days if things went swimmingly? Using the Merlo and the Westtech head, there was just the main stem left to knock over by 12pm, and thats after we started at 9am due to road closure stipulations! Plus the only sweat we broke was from the excessive heat, not from grafting. Absolutely sensational, and as has been mentioned, for compromised Ash in urban areas, it's in a league of its own entirely.
  24. Cheers for the input all. Looks like it'll do the job nicely 👍🏼
  25. Has anyone got any experience of this particular machine? It’s for me, purely to do my little lawn out the back of my house. Can get it for a reasonable price including the battery and charger from Jonsies, with maybe a little wait for delivery which I can handle.
