  1. Spot on Paddy. Unless anyone else chips in with some recommendations, I think we have a winner!
  2. This looks like a potentially good option. Main powered rather than petrol but about bang on budget. 3. These seem to come out well on tests. Anyone any experience using this particular model? Wilks Genuine USA TX750i Petrol Pressure Washer - 8.0HP 3950Psi / 272Bar: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors WWW.AMAZON.CO.UK Great prices on your favourite Gardening brands, and free delivery on eligible orders.
  4. Morning all. I’m in need of a decent pressure washer. The Logbullet is getting absolutely caked up in mud at the moment, and with the prospect of my own yard space very close on the horizon I’m no longer going to have access my good mate John’s Stihl one. It’ll be mains power and mains water fed. The Stihl one I’ve used was decent but is always good to explore the options out there, and I trust (the majority 😉) of knowledgeable folks on here for completely impartial advice.... budget is likely up to circa £300.
  5. Mk2 550 is a weapon. It cuts like a 60cc saw, I run mine on an 18 most of the time but recently dropped back to a 15. Absolutely brilliant. And definitely get XPG model. Worth every penny extra.
  6. Couldn’t agree more with all those points Matty! Well said!
  7. @bigtreedon bet the owner of that red VW was popular! 🤦🏽😆
  8. I’ve come to the conclusion it’s impossible to please everyone Rob. There will always be some who are left disappointed or annoyed, and some times it’s justified, most times it’s not and is due to a breakdown in communications somewhere along the line. Unfortunately in this digital age everyone had a platform/soapbox on which they can vent their issues. Because everyone is entitled to other people’s opinion! The service I’ve had from you and the clan had been top notch. You even helped me out when I clearly had my brain plugged in backwards and I thought my bar had its oil holes on the wrong place! 😆 Keep up the good work, I’m sure your skin is thick enough to weather the rough times that pop up occasionally.
  9. Just pop the cheque in the post mate. Looks like I might need the money to pay back my BBL 😆🤦🏼‍♂️💩

  11. I think is is what my mate did come to think about it. The one he had wasn’t specific to the Avant. Good knowledge.
  12. A mate I used to work with a lot had one of these, but it wasn’t the Avant one. It was from an Irish firm if I recall. I’ll try and remember what it was. It was straightforward enough to operate and quite productive. It used to creep down on the boom a fair bit so we used to find some logs to pop underneath. That’s one thing I liked about it, because you had it on the boom you could adjust the height for each user. Saved getting a wrecked back. Let me get back to you with more details.
  13. The worst part is it’s all recorded in the MOT history check you can perform on the DVLA website. Some twunt listed my car as having corroded sills, I’ve checked and there is no sign of this at all and it has never subsequently came up on any further MOT since then. I tried to sell the car a while ago and a few folk said they were put off by this advisory on the history. Also the DPF light was on, and all this means is a service is due (on my Mazda). Another pointless thing.
  14. Me and John have spoken about this, but cheers for the thought htb.
  15. A decent alarm clock so folk aren’t late! I’ll second the vote for what three words. Very useful and easy to use.
  16. That joke is legendary in our family. One Christmas that was the only joke in an entire box of crackers, we laughed a lot!
  17. And it’s still snowing so could be a decent sledging day with the boy 😎
  18. Day off it is then!
  19. Rough with the smooth mate! Chin up!
  20. Welcome to the club mate! 👍🏻🕺🏻
  21. Mint! 💪🏻👌🏼
  22. I’ve not got experience myself of using these, but my good friend @Gray git has it and rates it. Think he has it’s bigger brother too. Not sure on price but reckon John could give you ballpark figures. 23. That’s a wedge of coin for the Husky 😳 on Amazon. Think I paid about £25 at local place, but could be wrong.
  24. I think there is no doubt the capacity to perform is there with Forst. When they’re working they do so very well. But the poor build quality, lack of quality control, above market average depreciation, and a lack of acceptance of these problems should be enough to put anyone off. I have heard the phrase Friday afternoon machine used, and it appears most work on Forst chippers is done at some point on a Friday. I’m not one for bashing brands online, but my experience of Forst is not good, and that’s several different machines at different times with different crews. I’d absolutely love it if Lux got the chipper they clearly wanted and expected. It’s be the best outcome to this situation. But the omens ain’t good unfortunately.
  25. Forst = Fixed Or Repaired Seasonally Typically I’m afraid a lot of new stuff has built in obsolescence. It’s just Forst seem to have put all her efforts into that being the one thing their products excel in from the get go.
