  1. Give Katie at Fox Medics a shout, she runs courses specifically aimed at arborists. I had a chat with her at the Arb show and she hinted that she would be willing to travel to facilitate said course.

The MBS, SWL and WLL should in theory only apply to rigging equipment as the inspector has the ability to downrate the SWL if necessary. Climbing equipment on the other hand is classed as PPE and therefore the blanket coverage of one person SWL will suffice, mind you this depends on the size of your one person. I think it's 100Kg off the top of my head.
  7. That has set me up for the day with a smile and a chuckle. TVI you are a literary genius.
  8. Could try this, but as already mentioned there are those out there that don't care how hot it is. Datatag Small Hand and Power Tool Security and Registration Theft Deterrent System

  14. One of the first mantra's I learned when I joined the RAF was "don't worry, skins waterproof"
  15. Have noticed some of the bigger Ash around my location (including 2 doors down the road) seem to be coming into leaf, however the 2 in my garden seem to be well behind the drag curve!! Have not seen any Oak leaves yet either.

  17. Google search for tree surgeons "in the area you want to work" and ring around them, most will probably offer a couple of days trial to see how you operate within the team, that's how I started. As you have already booked yourself onto CS30/31, that will show a good commitment to the industry for any future employer. Best of luck.
  18. Dean, give Greenshave Services a bell on 01793 822314 Willie
