    Zip line

A zipline that long would need a lot of tension in it otherwise the cuts could get stuck half way across if there was too much sag.
  3. I went in a customers house today... It was like walking into an old lung. I could smell stale tobacco on me for hours after. I'm so glad I gave up.., If I can give them up anyone can Good on you lads. Keep it up!!
  4. Mog is in for a new clutch which means engine out through the front. We don't have enough height to tilt the cab in our workshop. We've also found metal particles in the fuel filter which ain't good. It's going to get a thorough overhaul while the engine is out.
  5. As long as it keeps running it will be better than a panel van any day..
  6. No I'm Spartacus!
  7. Oops forgot the link........
  8. This has got to be my favourite tree work video. The guy doing it is not a young guy. I got qualified to climb late in life (48) I'm 50 now but love it and I'm improving steadily. I particularly enjoy the rigging side of things as it seems to suit my style of climbing. Me and my mate are going on a pruning course next week and one of our up and coming guys is going to do his cs30/31. We do mainly domestic work and personally enjoy the fact that we get so much variety in this line of work.
  9. Talking of old school.... I got to a job yesterday and realised my harness was left back at home Improvised rope harness saved the day. Very uncomfortable but did the job
  10. I asked this same question and was told.... "Ford want their vans to drive and feel like cars".... I guess that's why they also put car engines in them as well......
  11. Sugihara do a bar for the MS201T My mate has one.
  12. Very cool! Some great pics there. The charity I work at has recently opened a cafe in the main Coventry Cathederal. It's called Rising from the Rubble cafe and it has a 1940s theme to it. Trip advisor has rated it no 3 restaurant in Cov. Looks like 1940s is the latest thing Congrats on the renewing of your vows
  13. I did a train journey in Spain last year 40 mins. The equivalent journey in Britain would have taken 2.5 hours

    Mogtransit

Hopefully it doesn't have a duratorque in it.....
  15. Speaks the voice of experience!
  16. Hi Rich. Very versatile mini climbing system. Sadly the rope on mine got caught on some jagged metal when I was doing a Connie removal on a really messy job so all the remaining component parts got scattered into other bits of my kit. So even though it died it still lives on. I'll post some pics next week.
  17. Many Happy Returns Mate!!
  18. Someone once told me that they never bothered to vote cos The House of Commons Party always got elected regardless..... An exercise in futility I think he called it...
  19. We run an 80's U1250ag unimog and it doesn't miss a beat (although it's having a new clutch fitted next week) Also an 02 plate transit tipper. I dread the thought of replacing either vehicle. The new trannys look awful and the engine has shrunk to medium car size. 2.2L The firm that used to own our Mog replaced it with a new shape one and have already got rid of it. I like the look of the Kamaz trucks that are made in Russia. They look pretty indestructible and win the Paris Dakar. Not sure if they do a 3.5t tipper though
  20. They should rename themselves... "The Mediocre Sentimentalist Party" Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
  21. Just a thought here...... In the unlikely event that he got elected and managed to form some sort of a government....., What would happen when we tried to deport/extradite terrorists? Would they be given even bigger houses for them and their families to live in courtesy of the taxpayer?? Even more ludicrous "human rights" To prevent their extradition/deportation? In fact they would probably be eligible for government grants and funding to carry out their operations! Just tick the right diversity boxes on the form...etc.... It wouldn't be the first time that the loony left have funded sick and twisted ideologies. God help us if they ever did get in.
  22. Speak to Andy at Global Sales BHAM . He got our Greenmech 220 second hand for us. It's been excellent.
  23. Here's a couple of pics of mine. I'll try and dig some more stuff out tomorrow
  24. Sounds like you would get on famously with a hitch climber pulley and distel hitch. Mid line attachable and easy to see how the hitch cord is wearing. All the characteristics of a device with the security and peace of mind of rope.
  25. Thanks mate.... Mrs Ti says you're very kind and generous.
