  1. I'm looking at getting Updated Field Guide for Visual Tree Assessment. Does anyone have this and can they recommend it? I do a lot of quotes and climb a fair bit and was looking at expanding my knowledge. Thanks in advance.
  2. Now you're really onto something.
  3. Makes a change from the bells and smells I suppose
  4. Or set up a charity collection either side of the work area. Most people will go out of their way to avoid these
  5. Is this your local church TCD ??
  6. Great vid. Enjoyed that, very sticky trees.
  7. Nice tailoring.
  8. Ouch! Do you mind me asking how it happened? Ive been climbing a couple of years now and getting more confident. I don't want my confidence to turn into complacency.

  10. Me too. Think it was a handout when I did my CS 30/31. 'Bout 8 years ago.
  11. Tough luck mate. Sure you'll crack it next go. Not much room for error where electricity is concerned I guess. When you coming down to visit mate?
  12. The ones I was looking at were blue 3 way ones. Don't have pics as I'm away this weekend. (Sorry for the derail)
  13. DMM stuff is class. I was comparing the quality of a couple of ISC krabs and the equivalent DMM's. I doubt if the ISC's will pass LOLER in 12 months whereas the DMM's will be going strong for years. Nice swivel.

  16. I'm up for some Monsanto bashing.
  17. Working fine on my iphone 4 but crashing on my iPad 3.
  18. A man with a genuine experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument
  19. Hi VI, My faith has had a dramatic and profound effect on my life that is quantifiable. The "mechanics" of my faith and the transformation that has resulted from it are evident even to the most ardent atheist. Cutting edge and established scientific methods consistently proved worthless in helping me escape my addiction issues. Would you say then, that my "cure" and transformation from a low down stinking thieving junkie into a person who spends his life helping others, working hard, continuing on a journey of increasing good character through my faith has been brought about by a delusion???? Really interested to know. Thanks Timon
  20. Huck. Sadly a lot of people are guilty of hiding behind religion and abusing people so I can partly agree with you on this. But JESUS never did and in fact he acted and taught the opposite so when people commit atrocities in his name they shouldn't be called CHRIST-ians because the term is incorrect.
  21. I'm not very well educated so please bear with me. The reformed Protestant church was still very much in its infancy and of course the Catholic Church were keen on crushing (or burning) it. I think Phillips motives were just as much political and financial as they were religious. One of the main aims of the Protestant reformation was that people would have the freedom to read The Bible in their own language and be able to follow the teachings of Christ. Sadly as so often happens politics and greed get in the way. If you have never read the gospels for yourself I would highly recommend it You would see that Jesus himself took a dim view of people that used religion to oppress the very people they were meant to look after.
  22. Would you like to share which of Christ's teachings the Spanish were following? Funnily enough, I was in Madrid Plaza Mayor today. The Spanish Inquisition burned loads of Christians there as heretics. I would like to remind you that a true definition of a Christian is a disciple or a follower of Christ. Someone who follows his teachings. The Auto Da Fe of the Spanish Inquisition had nothing to do with the teachings of Christ.
  23. I've just bought the new 11:8mm venom. A little bit bouncy but tends really nicely on a zig zag
  24. I have Christian faith and have found that there is REAL life transforming power in the Gospel. What other people believe is their own business. I used to be violently opposed to the gospel and all forms of organised religion. But something happened to me that totally changed my life. I have no room to judge anyone on what they believe in. One day we will find out wether our beliefs are founded on truth, or not. I'm certainly not going to try and change anyone's point of view by a couple of posts on an arb forum. Also you won't find me ridiculing you or insulting you because of what you believe in or don't believe in. Just my humble opinion. Best wishes Timon
