  1. I only cook when mrs smash shouts and balls at me, she gets in a mood when i have phaesant and rabbits scattered across the kitchen table, fancy that. Slow cooked phaesant and cider stew tomorrow with home grown peas, runner beans, carrots, onions and spuds. Proper job!
  2. A traveller. You never see a poor one do you? And i love my transit.
  3. No idea on price. But i would take up someones offer of help. Learn, enjoy, but stop, think and be safe.
  4. At risk of opening a can of worms, whats peoples thoughts on this super long life fully synthetic engine oil. I have formed a very solid opinion of it, but seeing what others think. Polite suggestions appreciated
  5. You mean to say it needs to be drained and replaced? All the land rovers i have had i thought were two stroke total loss systems, just keep topping up, eventually its changed, wipe the filter off occasionly. Serviced.
  6. I have an indespension 12x6 plant trailer with a triplelock hitch fitted, seem to have misplaced the key, the only id number for barrel is on the key!! Took me less than 30 seconds to 'steal' my own trailer. Rang manufacturer for a new lock and was told it was cast in and not removable, even though i had it in my hand. Only solution, appaently is a new hitch at £140, but its alright they have it in stock. Currently looking for other suggestions. Hitchlock barrels in the hitch
  7. " engineer on call " on dash in front of steering wheel. Worked for me for over 12 years

    Smokers.

I have really tried to give up. Ended up chewing up half a pack of the nicorette tic tac type things, then tried the gum, ended up having a smoke with the gum to give it some taste, tried patches, wanted to roll it up and smoke it. Any suggestions or is cold turkey the way forward?
  9. Mitsubishi and transit, first piston up, this time, every time. See the light, and ditch the rover.
  10. Naughty boy, easy mistake to make, move on. Learn from this. Whats the difference in not connecting it and wrapping it around something that will just get pulled off in the event of seperation? Is there a pre determined place to attatch cables?
  11. Oh god, it gets worse. New pictures on the link. Would anyone really buy that? Should go to spec savers.
  12. Changed to aspen earlier in the year, had to do nothing to my gear. Wont be changing back to pump fuel.
  13. Skoda Old skool vw New vw's  proper
  14. I use 215/75.16 vredestein comtrac winter 2s on my transit all year round with no problems. They have a better load rating than the standard road tyres they come with and are exceelent in all conditions. Get over 50,000 miles from a set. Went to forfar in one hit, about 500 miles in summer, tyres were just about warm when i got there, and that was at 70 mph on motorway, and up to gross weight, officer. Never any faster or heavier. Fairly well priced and readily available.
  15. Calm yourselves, it wont be until weekend as by the time i get home from work, play with little en, have a shower, eat me tea its proper dark.
  16. I have a steam generator that packs away into a wooden crate, designed for air dropping, easily liftable with two blokes and you should be able to get into steam within 15 minutes. I will get it out weekend and get some pictures
  17. +1 totally agree. My mate and me used to get headaches when working in close canopy situations. Made the switch to aspen, never changed back. Better for the saws, environment and your health, only downside, not so good for the wallet. Have already signed the petition but unfortunatly it doesnt seem to be making much good.
  18. Interesting. Clear fell it, slaughter the deer, built 85 million houses and ker ching. Seriously though, theres a lot going on there.
  19. Still no bids, funny old job.
  20. Just sling it in. Stops other people "looking" for things. Also place something heavy against the side door so if you get visitors then it really hurts their feet and shins.
  21. If you read the advert for the stihl, it claims to be "my" saw. Not some relatives, i smell something, could be bull.......
  22. You probably have two hoses going through the bulkhead from engine bay into front of dash. If both are hot could be leaking through heater valve.
