  8. I reckon the biggest problem would be light headedness. Horses means women in jahodpers, all that blood draining from/to your head

  10. £55,100, bargain!
  11. Youre welcome, what comes around goes around. Others on here have helped me, i help you, you help someone else and so it goes on.
  12. Good stuff. I hate to be a smart arse and say i told you so, but.........
  13. Out riggers will be fine. I mean from outside the widest part of the vehicle
  14. And spray suppression. I drive chassis cabs all time under test. Lights, number plate, mudguards, and no sharp edges or obtrusions from body work. Hope this helps
  15. Whichever is easiest to get to usually. Doesnt really matter. If cracking all pipes makes no difference then it could be between injector pump and fuel tank.
  16. Yes thats the spill return line for returning unused diesel. Silly question but the bolt was hollow? Youll get a leak and thats about it. I had an old major years ago i wanted more power from so i just blocked the return pipes off.
  17. Mid eighties will probably be a 'blue' engine, so no electronics to worry about. Check fuel pipes for cracks and perishing. If there is a leak on the suction side you wont necessarilly see a wet mark as its not under pressure. Crack the pipes ome at a time, and if no difference then it must be in the supply line.
  18. Remove pipe from lift pump to injector pump, and blank it off. Remove fuel suction pipe from tank and use a priming pump to develop no more than 20psi and look for pressure drop or leaks. John Deere fuel filters are a bugger where the glass bowl goes on to the bottom of the primary filter. Its a different size o ring to the one they supply, and can pull air. Worth a try. Just out of interest how old is this machine. What tier engine is it?
  19. Is anyone else watched that program on itv called 100 year old drivers? Oh my god, that is some seriously scary sh#t man. No wonder insurance is so high. These old boys have never been in an accident, caused thousands. Best bit was the 91 year old on a honda 250 super dream, cringetastic
  20. Again not meaning to pry, just being nosey. What sort of parasites? My dad is into natural cures and stuff. Like he plants a row of onions between carrots to ward off carrot fly and stuff like that.
  21. Bloke i know had one for sale. It was his dads and he passed on. Real clean and straight and genuine thing like. I will ask for you. I think it had an isssue with the multi power though
  22. Seen a fair few in gloucestershire. Was in the garage one night cleaning off my lathe, heard what sounded like a chinook coming down from the reafters, immediate reaction to swing the dust pan at it. Got it and fair play are they well armoured. Made a hell of a crack against the back of the dust pan. It was huge! Luckily it was just the one. Impressive insects
  23. Thats nothing. Saw a 42 foot mower at a shower! Still a fair bit of kit. Whats the risk assessment for that?
  24. Spiralgard available in all sizes from moss plastics up in the midlands somewhere. Pm if you want address. I also use a lot of stauff clamps that weld or bolt to something solid and clamp the pipes apart to reduce chafing. My hydraulics man, Colin, also puts a slide on sleeve over the pipe before ends swaged on which is pretty good. Saves a lot of time rather than putting spiralgard on and been using it 18 months plus with no failures. Cant remember what they call it but will find out.
  25. Dont fancy shovelling it out though. Might tool all the same
