  1. 7480vt and the 8926x seem far too cheap, hmmmm. Do you reckon you would get a vat receipt?
  2. Thank you tommy. To be honest running out of space and still got a fair bit more to split. Probably 25tonne ish
  3. Cheers log on tommy, when you say a cube obviously you mean cubic metre, is that a cube of split logs or a cube of actual timber?
  4. Got quite a pile of split seasoned ash developing now. All about 9 and half inches long. Just wondering what people think this would be worth a tonne, cube, load etc. pile located at gloucester.
  5. As a fairly young man and a former apprentice i do realise and appreciate the time, effort and of course financial input that employers and senior members of staff put in. To be honest i am embarressed by my generation as they have no long term thought. Grass is always greener and all that. However i am sure you will find an apprentice that will restore your faith in the next generation. After all we will be paying your pensions.
  6. So........... Who is going to order the first one?
  7. Just looked at the rest of their website and it seems to be a worldwide plant trade site. I would imagine the price has been converted to sterling. Seeing as my chinese only expands to special fly lice, sweet and sour pork balls and prawn clacker. Think someone should ring the number.
  8. Are they still in china for that money? There doesnt seem to be any uk contact details.
  9. Agree with treequip. Definatly banding tools.
  10. I have fitted several of the 'hamburger' euro type lights to trailers and lorries over the years. And as previously stated an led doesnt have any resistance as its a diode and not a filament and again a ballast resitor is the way forward. However from experience i have found that the big black resistor packs supplied with many of these lights are poor quality and fail within a twelve month, i prefer to use a really basic standard 6 ohm resistor (from rs) which cost pence and simply solder them between the lives and earth of the circuits with led. However it is advisable to mount them to something metal to form a heat sink but have done several mounted to plastic with no troubles.
  11. Stick with the mog. Having worked on both the mog is the better all round machine, i know mog bits are expensive but you usually need less of them, early fastracs like the 1105 and 1135 were shockingly underpowered the quality parkinsons wiring looms WILL catch fire, just a matter of time, the hand brake will let go and cause devestation, however jcb handlers are pretty good. But usually most fastscraps end up like".........
  12. Have you thought of paul baker from bicester, he is self employed and used to work for barrus who are kohler agents, he is a good old boy, very clever, done some work for me in the past. Pm me if you want his number
  13. I have used a steam wallpaper stripper and hot air gun but prefer to use autoglym glue and tar remover, isnt cheap, but you get what you pay for
  14. No offence to the two guys that have mentioned vw's, but what pieces of utter sh1t they are. Had a t32 for 3 years, beat over eighty thousand miles on it and i hated every inch. Over rated, over priced, noisy, uncomfortable, unreliable and when you got the trailer on well........ I had a 10x5 ifor and four floatation wheels and tyres on coming down the m1 past tibshelf and a mog overtook me pulling a slew!!!!! Talk about burning diesel, jesus, the diesel consumption was nearlly as bad as the oil use. My god did it spend some time in the workshop. Got it gone, now got a rwd transit. Happy days. ***** choice for years. Something like 80% of all robberies have used a transit as a get away truck. Not sure about the new custom but i got a last week of southampton built and she is a beauty
  15. Not too bad, genuine rear light assembly direct from manufacturer £58.02 inc vat. I would say that was reasonable. £280 odd quid for a bumper cover, plus paint, plus fitting, plus all the little clips, not so reasonable. Needless to say the bumper can wait.
  16. You might find a series of bellville washers under the pto clutch housing, never done a blue one, done several green and red ones. I usually put it in the press, just take the load off, remove circlip and let pressure off. One of the plates could well be bent as stated above, this will cause it to drag. As for the brake band i dont know. But i will ask a man who used to work for a ford dealer?
  17. Grrrr, sorry everyone but a good rant does do you good. We had a little un eighteen months ago so to try and do the right thing i scrapped her old p o s and bought her a nice new car, euro ncap 5 safe as houses for our little un, airbags everywhere you know nice motor like. She back yesterday with the offside rear all stoved in and wonders why i went off my head at her. Bloomin women. This is a specific rant aimed solely at my misses and is not aimed at the generic female driving population, who im sure there are many very good ones.
  18. FarmerTom, just looked at that link, that is incredible how trees can eat guns, grenades, helmets etc.
  19. Oooohhhhh ya bast***. That could have been dangerous. Lucky not to catch it with saw.
  20. None taken, i dont claim to be any good at taking pictures, and i think the ipad is having an off day as it shows upright in photo file. Ah well, i will get woman to do a better picture when its back upright. What did you think about the mistletoe, remove it or leave it?
  21. How would you decide which third to take out? Is it worth removing the hollly before i upright it again?
  22. Wow a special upside down tree, lets try again.
  23. As promosed some pictures of the mentioned apple tree. What do you guys reckon? Will it live if uprighted, staked and roped?
  24. I suppose in theory it wouldnt bend the rod as much as a diesel, if it wanted to preignite it would just dissapate compession through exhaust port as two strokes dont have valves to hold it in. Any two stroke experts about?
  25. Probably not on that model, think they cut that lift pump when they went to post phaser range. The other one on the inlet of the cav rotary pump is a seldom serviced item
