  2. Been looking online for gypsy superstitions with a view to keping them off your property Suprisingly little online about this but apparently the following upset them 1) womens skirts ! Something to do with women being unclean below the waist 2) dead crows, specifically says they will turn round if they see a dead crow So you need a keeper to hang his dead crows on your fence ......
  3. Logging up large oak today that blew down in gales Tree was very healthy but cut into one branch and brown liquid ran out, when split this branch smelled of vomit ...branch about 15 inch diameter Wood was very wet, and heavy, not splitting nicely either ..... Any idea what it was?
  4. Travellers were operating round here couple of years ago Aged guy appeared in transit pick up asking for junk, back of his pickup was full of worthless crap, rotten roofing sheets, old buckets that sort of stuff Luckily my neighbour saw him going up lane and phoned me so I could meet him in the yard...saw him off but not before he'd slowly and deliberately backed full length of yard looking at everything ....... Week later local farms done over for quads .....lukily farm lad onway frompub saw his mates bike and gave chase..... Magistrates bailed traveller who promptly did a runner caught again couple of weeks later with exactly same scenario ..... So sent down ths time I now padlock gates everytime we go out AND PUT PLYWOOD COFFIN LID ON THE GATE......GOT THIS TIP FOM SCRAPMAN he says travellers very superstitious and will not pass anything to do with death, thats why scrapyards often have scrap hearse next to gates..... Guy down valley is ex police solicitor he has plastic skeleton under his cattle grid ..... Spoke to police about this they confirmed travellers are very superstitious and thought it might work ..... Took about 30 mins to make and fix, so worth a try

Clearing my mums after she died we had a skip on front drive We'd also left stuff leaning against wall we were taking away I took cleaners home whilst my son was in house When I returned he was laughing his head off, he said seven neighbours descended en masse as I droveaway, and were in the skip in seconds ....... This was supposedly posh midde cass area .... They also took stuff leaning against wall which we had to recover They were taking stuff we had offered free to charity shops ....... Worse problem was my mums cleaner and my ex sister in law, my mum had said get a momento from the house...... It was like they'd burgled it, they literally took carloads away....including my mums engagement ring, antique jewellery, silver ornaments ......right down to my grandads medal for going into a burning colliery in 1910 Cleaner has car boot stall.......
