  1. Enjoyed the program but I sensed that it was new build plus a recon Merlin rather than a restoration of Geffrey Stephenson's MK1. However, I might be wrong.
  2. markieg31 I've got a 'noddy car' style amber flashing beacon that's spare if you're want. Yours for the price of the postage.
  3. Lucan Two gems indeed Really can't beat a good old fashioned woven cane log basket. The most recent one I bought was only £30 at the Southwell Ploughing Show. Distinct advantage is that you get a lot of change from $1580 and your partner doesn't have to wear it just carry it
  4. I reckon he/she could have got another couple of feet overhang. Wimp!
  5. Dammit....they don't do a 42" and short leg
  6. Guys, heartwarming news. Let's hope Old Bill throws the book at them
  7. OMG. Graphic as graphic could be. Serious wake up call for me. Hope you recover quickly.
  8. Yep, bad case of thread riff ....
  9. Both the chimneys are unlined and I've been doing them for some 20 years. Both have 'odd' smoke shelves where soot collects and there's a fair bit of work involved with a hand trowel and flex vac house to get these cleaned off. The one time I used a chimney sweep he didn't do any of that. As for insurance I'm confident that the chimneys are well swept each year.
  10. I sweep both our chimneys late summer - no big deal. The clean up afterwards is easy. I leave it to Mrs Hanser
  11. Doh....hadn't spotted your post
  12. Does he wake up with a hangover
  13. Wow, that's a good old age!
  14. Congratulations to you and yours. Great photo. Now get some sleep - you'll be needing it!
  15. Is that for one stove? Just need to know how much to knock off the wife's housekeeping when I sweep the our two.
  16. Friarsgorse Feeling for you M8.
  17. Felix - thanks, you're right. He was just shy of 14 years. Typical terrier, a little feisty now and again but easy going with kids etc. Ooops something in my eye again!
  18. Ricky our Westie. A great and faithful friend and a true ambassador to his breed. A photo from 09/13. Sadly, we had to let him go this week. Can't believe the emotions my wife and I are feeling.
  19. Good news Paul! One less hurdle to worry about.
  20. A lovely gesture from a client that sensed warmth and empathy between you and Bella. Looking forward to your photo.
  21. My pleasure. The guys do some nice work!
