  1. Best thing for sucking out crap or cleaning the bottom of a fuel tank is a cheap wetndry vac, strain the fuel and chuck it back in and suck it out again, rinse and repeat as necessary. Launch it in the bin when it blows up. Bob
  2. Ye of little faith 😂 Ruben that landing craft on its own can handle the stump grinder, its was the digger with all the buckets that prompted me to add the pontoon and drums That landing craft can take about three tons before it sinks, smaller grinder, two guys, winch and a load of other clobber.
  3. Had to get the stump grinder and digger onto an island, strapped the pontoon to the landing craft ,welded some drums together and strapped them to the pontoon to add a bit of stability. Entering this lot into the Cowes regatta next year
  4. Cant imagine trying to use a telehandler in this game without a beak/clamp.Invaluable addition. .
  5. Sooner put the £299 towards my coffin, the day I cant use ordinary secateurs is the day I will throw myself off a cliff. Bob
  6. The lads on domestic work around here have been eating the faces off each other for years, if it gets ant tighter most will probably park their kit and do something else until things pick up. You have to feel for those with a lot finance commitments, having to work elsewhere to pay for laid up kit has to be tough going. Bob
  7. Tacho rule change in place, drivers are required to keep with them Digi or analogue records of all working hours for 28 days . Anyone on paper discs need to be filling out the blank ones on the days not driving. Drivers log books are finished. Bob More blurb Tachograph: Our legal guide for compliance with new 28 day rules NEWS.RHA.UK.NET There are new, higher levels of tacho compliance that could have a serious impact on operators...
  8. Sticks go in the stack, firewood chogs go to the logs boys, rubbish out the front for the log goblins, several chip dumps locally, larger quantities of chip go off for biomass. I wont give any of it yard space. Bob
  9. Our chimp took out the canopy of this leaning Ash that was above some lines and entangled in the trees on the opposite side of the road, lifted down the sticks with the crane. Dont think I would have let him up there if I had known about this.
  10. The Goblins are still feeling the love for Surrey`s finest .
  11. Very nice @monkeybusiness Those triaxle tilts are in another league, borrowed a friends to collect a RB44. Bob
  12. We have a few plant trailers but my trailer of choice is the tilt bed, its not a one trick pony like the plant trailers. No ramps needed. Bob
  13. Ye of little faith.😂 Bob
  14. On a sea fishing trip/pissup on the 21st so will skip theThursday, probably go up on the Friday or Saturday. Bob
  15. Think I will go this year. Definitely taking some sort of trolley to cart the c̶r̶a̶p̶ stuff from the trade stands back to the motor. Bob
  16. I don't think anything has changed, its still the same choice of a 4x4/ trailer, Mogs/tractors, overloaded 3.5 tonners or get a proper truck. Bob
  17. I am getting diesel at about 12-15p a litre cheaper than anything advertised at the forecourts around here. Thats a card through the RHA , downside is I cant get petrol on the card and other than motorways there are only about four filling stations locally that will accept them . Bob
  18. It will breeze that , small flat bed will make that a useful wagon with a high payload. I chopped the back of mine about for towing heavy trailers, inc a nato hitch (stump grinder) and an adjustable drop plate.
  19. 220hp Urban tractor units are a bit of a stunned slug, what are you going to pull with it? Got an FL220 for dragging our Arb boat about which is only about twelve tons all up inc the trailer and that I would say is on its limit. Bob
  20. Yes its a taperloc of sorts, they are a ballache because the pulley part needs to push back and there is no where for it to go. You need to release the outer using the retaining bolts as per normal taperloc and very carefully wedge the centre hub open to draw the whole assembly off the shaft. Hope that makes sense, it is a fiddly job and dont go mad wedging the centre hub because it will break in half, literally just needs a screwdriver poked into it so you can tease the whole thing off the shaft.. . Bob
  21. Thought I would spend more than a shilling on a new T27 torx driver, got this little gem. Bob
  22. I am assuming you mean the big pulley on the rotor shaft, its a taperloc. Drop the belts off, remove the allen headed grub screws in the pulley hub and insert them in the releasing holes, nip them up and give the pulley a light tap with a copper mallet. It should release. Dont clump the pulley on the outside edge of the v`s because it will break . Bob.
  23. We have always run 4x4 tippers, they have more than enough uses to justify running one. Bob
