  1. He took over the job of John Whittingdale who was president of the conservative's friends of Ukraine.group. Bob
  2. They are the spawn of Satan himself, pain in the arris to reverse, by the time you get to see the little critters in the mirror they are already well on their way to being jackknifed 👎 Bob
  3. Its all sounds worse than it is, I know a few lads with the restricted Olicense`s that run from small yards attached to their homes. One of them has a bit of a curfew on truck movements but its still more than workable. Bar any objections it should be straight forward. Bob
  4. I used to get all my spares from Westcon, I think Greenplant took/bought out all their stock. Bob
  5. Hi Stephen, hope you are well. Machine has a button which diverts another service for the levelling, its manual. One of the lads put it through its paces the other day doing some scrapes for the ecologists on some steep banks, works well. Think its going to be really useful on some of the tracks we do. Bob
  6. New to me addition,a Wacker Neuson ez28. This model has the tilting cab which should prove useful.
  7. These six in one screw drivers made by King Dick are worth chucking in the mobile tool box. The one screwdriver fits 1-3 in both pozi and philips. 8. Today I have been burning up a load of birch/pine regen our lads cut out on some heathland restoration work, couple of these fires will be burning for a few days.
  9. CD`s are available that cover all of the saws, hedge trimmers and blowers, you can get both the parts and workshop manuals that cover the lot all in one. I print off the ones I want and laminate them for workshop use. Being able to phone through the correct parts numbers when ordering spares saves a lot of time and you will never end up with the wrong part, the exploded views are also useful when assembling something someone else has pulled apart and dumped on the bench. Bob
  10. I think the bigger saws like the 088 suffer in the hands of the mechanically unsympathetic, no saw is 100% duty cycle, these bigger saws with big bars and with a chain in less than optimum condition are often relentlessly dogged into big butts with no respite. No small to medium sized saw has to poke up with the kind of abuse these big saws do. Bob
  11. I was always led to believe that you should not use high octane fuel in a two stroke, I use the cheap gear at the pumps, batch mix about 40ltrs at a time twice a week. Cant say I have ever seen a problem with water in the fuel. Bob
  12. Best thing for sucking out crap or cleaning the bottom of a fuel tank is a cheap wetndry vac, strain the fuel and chuck it back in and suck it out again, rinse and repeat as necessary. Launch it in the bin when it blows up. Bob
  13. Ye of little faith 😂 Ruben that landing craft on its own can handle the stump grinder, its was the digger with all the buckets that prompted me to add the pontoon and drums That landing craft can take about three tons before it sinks, smaller grinder, two guys, winch and a load of other clobber.
  14. Had to get the stump grinder and digger onto an island, strapped the pontoon to the landing craft ,welded some drums together and strapped them to the pontoon to add a bit of stability. Entering this lot into the Cowes regatta next year
  15. Cant imagine trying to use a telehandler in this game without a beak/clamp.Invaluable addition. .
  16. Sooner put the £299 towards my coffin, the day I cant use ordinary secateurs is the day I will throw myself off a cliff. Bob
  17. The lads on domestic work around here have been eating the faces off each other for years, if it gets ant tighter most will probably park their kit and do something else until things pick up. You have to feel for those with a lot finance commitments, having to work elsewhere to pay for laid up kit has to be tough going. Bob
  18. Tacho rule change in place, drivers are required to keep with them Digi or analogue records of all working hours for 28 days . Anyone on paper discs need to be filling out the blank ones on the days not driving. Drivers log books are finished. Bob More blurb Tachograph: Our legal guide for compliance with new 28 day rules NEWS.RHA.UK.NET There are new, higher levels of tacho compliance that could have a serious impact on operators...
  19. Sticks go in the stack, firewood chogs go to the logs boys, rubbish out the front for the log goblins, several chip dumps locally, larger quantities of chip go off for biomass. I wont give any of it yard space. Bob
  20. Our chimp took out the canopy of this leaning Ash that was above some lines and entangled in the trees on the opposite side of the road, lifted down the sticks with the crane. Dont think I would have let him up there if I had known about this.
  21. The Goblins are still feeling the love for Surrey`s finest .
  22. Very nice @monkeybusiness Those triaxle tilts are in another league, borrowed a friends to collect a RB44. Bob
