  1. During the crusades Christians went and killed anyone who disagreed and now they are doing the same. It was wrong then and it's wrong now. Religion is alright in small doses but from the Cathar massacres up to the present day religion has a lot to answer for. Sent from my KFFOWI using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. I actually think that picture of the little Honda pulling the trailer full of trees is shopped. 😬 Sent from my KFFOWI using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Never mind Spud. The comma should be a full stop as well.
  4. Cut the grass as per instructions. They are nothing special and there's mare's tail in there as well.
  5. I bet they'll still be orange With possibly a bit of grey metallic.
  6. They'll do anything to get rid of the rainforest
  7. It only needs to affect a bit of the bar not all the way through, once you create a stress riser it makes it a weak point if that's where all the weight is concentrated. It would probably have gone anyway but the weld won't have helped matters.
  8. It doesn't soften it makes it brittle, look up hydrogen embrittlement. A thicker piece of ordinary mild steel would probably work better as it doesn't temper.
  9. HMRC is crap at punctuation ?
  10. I made a one handed scythe out of an old sickle and it was really good for taking down the Knotweed over the wall at the bottom of the garden. I cut the blade off the sickle and welded it into a piece of conduit with a handle on the top. A friend of my uncle was using a proper one to cut some nettles on his allotment many years ago and he let it slip and cut his calf muscle. He has walked with a limp ever since.
  11. I remember a documentary where some were fitted with trackers and they nested in various parts of UK but when the weather was bad they left the young in the nest and went as far as Holland in search of insects returning to feed the young ones in the same day. Plenty of them flying round here in the last couple of weeks, Swifts and Swallows.
  12. He can pull the sale at any point up to 12 hours before the end just stating that the item is no longer available.
  13. And we'll have garlic bread for sarnies, I've seen it, it's the future I'd like to see him get the drone through a White Hornbeam.
  14. First time I started mine it ran flat out and the trigger did nothing but it was only the linkage trapped. It still cuts out every now and then dropping back to tickover but it always fires up again easily enough.
  15. Just copy the address from the address bar and paste it into the thread
  16. I've got a Chinese top handle, had it a couple of years and just put a carb kit in it. It does the job for £80, carb was going out of adjustment all the time and the plastic feels fragile but not actually broke anything off it yet. I'd like something a bit bigger than 25cc but not keen on spending a fortune for what little use it gets.
  17. My uncle lived next door to a dealer in stolen goods and he got a lot of bargains off him. As my uncle always said, "good fences make good neighbours" Joke alert. Sent from my KFFOWI using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. Take your spanner and just leave the bars, I'd have been sleeping under the tree if they were my saws.
  19. Does it start up if you flick it to fast idle ? It might want to be a bit richer on the L screw.
  20. Just watched it again and the trunk bounced over her head and I don't think she knew how to stop the saw either, mad as a bag of cats.
  21. Manchester is not 3rd world hole of any kind. Sent from my KFFOWI using Arbtalk mobile app
  22. Just read through this thread and thought "nobody has mentioned that karona is anorak spelt backwards"
  23. I doubt the people who steal saws are breaking them for parts, more likely selling them to a fence as quickly as possible so they don't get caught in possession. These people don't want the work of stripping saws, just as much cash as they can get and on to the next crime scene.
  24. I was out today and spotted some sheep in a field with trees and they were standing on their hind legs to get the low hanging leaves. The trees were mostly Ash.
  25. Teach her about snedding please
