  1. 12 ton sounds like it could be the one to look at. Thanks for replies. I'll do a bit more googling through the week and try to make a decision.
  2. Anybody got one they'd recommend I'm looking for the cheapest I can use practically for splitting rough stuff with plenty of knots in it. I have a little electric one but it is pathetic after using the one driven by my friend's tractor. I'm not expecting that kind of performance but I would like to get something stronger than mine. I've looked at the Venoms but they are a bit more than I want to spend. I had looked at building one but after pricing the bits up and adding in the cost of the metal needed I was still looking at the thick end of £1000. Just looking for suggestions or tell me not to be so tight I won't be offended
  3. You're not feeding her right and get her on steroids as soon as you can, think of the children man?
  4. Run it till it's warm, tip the fuel out of the tank then run it till it stops. If you use "ecological" chain oil tip that out and swill it with a bit of your fuel and run some mineral oil through the pump before you drain the fuel off.
  5. There will be red faces if it is???
  6. It's probably a speech impediment Stubby, I have trouble saying some words Our kids had trainers with the ratchet tensioner system 30 years ago and they wore out but the lace part never failed. They are repairable if they do break or need cleaning out.
  7. I can't understand the mentality of the offenders. After reading the news article where do they think they are living ? Disrespected on his territory and he should have been arrested for attempted murder and serve the whole term plus another two years for shouting at an old lady in traffic. That's disrespect and it's probably more her territory than his. Come on, he was driving a Vauxhall Zafira how can anyone respect him.
  8. Accepted method nowadays is flat out from the start lots of revs then slow down and flat out again. Engines are built to closer tolerances and if they are run in gently the bores glaze and never bed in properly causing an engine to burn oil and lose compression.
  9. How many goats for the job ?
  10. Not that far from Rotherham here and it's tipping down at the moment, nice yesterday though for a change. Managed to get out on the Honda for an hour and not get wet.
  11. I can't help with your problem but from now on my throttle is going to be called the rev trigger
  12. As opposed to an underground one ? ?
  13. You missed out on that important detail ?
  14. JB Weld is a two part adhesive you need two tubes to make it work. If you put the hardener lid on the glue tube it will set.
  15. JB weld is not a sealant like Blue Hylomar it's an adhesive, Hylomar is for gaskets. I've never had JB weld go off in the tube are you replacing the caps and not mixing them up ?
  16. You can't say that it's racism Mine's back in favour now I've sorted the carb, it's running like a sewing machine.
  17. Pass me a stick somebody, I'm about to prove eggs wrong PS (I would not really beat a mare with a stick) PPS It's wet here and not getting much better for a day or two.
  18. I cut a socket with the angle grinder to make one to get the clutch off my 135, it's definitely easier if they have a hex boss.
  19. We lit ours last night for the first time this Autumn and thankfully it didn't explode.
  20. Round here they if they pick it up and bag it they hang it on a convenient hawthorn, usually 3 yards from the bin put there for dog crap.

    Brenig smock

    No.
  22. You might get someone interested if you mention how much you want to pay.?
  23. My 044 is like that, you have to start it from cold by standing on the handle and with a bit of conviction. Once it's warm you can start it fairly easily. My 036 is easy in comparison, neither have decomp buttons.
  24. Mine's been as good as gold till the other day, runs on Aspen and can't explain what happened to stop it working but it's spot on again now. I can't complain for what it cost me and I've had it a few years now.
  25. If the world's ended it won't matter about the future generations, I say use the oil and damn the consequences. As long as it pumps through it will be ok.
