I'd look at something with easy start next time I buy, like the Echo CS-352ES.

Mine is a 12mm little end bearing with no decomp, don't know the year of manufacture. I've seen quite a few and a lot in pictures with decomp valves but it's no problem starting it and it's a good saw.

I have an 044, does yours have a decompression valve fitted ?

It's the maximum recommended for the saw so you should be fine. You will probably not notice any difference in daily use.

I used snipe nose pliers wedged in the pawl while my mate held the side cover and I turned it with a screwdriver through the pliers handle as a lever. He had somehow managed to remove the cover with the brake engaged, something he will not do again in a hurry. There are Youtubes on the subject, this one shows the modified scrench at about 2.50.

Are they getting their parts from huztl.net and building them cheap, please let us know. I bought some plastics from huztl and they were 1/5 the price of Stihl so it would make perfect sense.

Used for trailer decking, there used to be loads of it for repairs when I worked shunting and sheeting trailers.

Flat out in big wood is Husqvarna reset, Stihl varies. Look in the manual but it goes something like cold start and leave ticking over for 30 seconds then rev it flat out till it picks up then tick over again. Takes about 90 seconds.

Have them tattooed on the back of your hand ? Get some good glasses to read them though it will be very small writing

Give it a dose of Glyphosate off the roof and leave it a couple of months. What's the flat roof like above it ?

Nowt to do with midges I thought I wouldn't mind the buttons, the jeans only cost £3 and looked unworn. Zip cost sod all I did a pair for a mate as well for about another £3 with proper brass zips. The buttons were just annoying and took forever to fasten.

Man I'm environmentally sound and I didn't even know it. Half of what I wear came from Oxfam and the rest is so old I can't remember where it came from. I have my sewing machine to help with my repairs and alterations. I converted my charity shop 501s from button to zip the other day.

I just had an email from World of Power saying Stihl have lifted online delivery restrictions on gear but not on chainsaws. Are they starting to realise something.
