  1. And what I've read, not being privy to the inner circle of environmentalists like you obviously are that is all I can do. I didn't realise I was arguing sorry, I haven't booked an argument so I'll just bow to your obviously superior knowledge.
  2. I was looking at the tree which is going to be dead standing and very soon in a dangerous condition dut to there being only about 3" of wood left holding it up. Having never heard of Ted Green or read any of his ideas I can only go by the evidence of the pictures I've seen. Where were they introduced and what restraints are in place to keep them in a suitable area ? I can see where they are suited to life in areas with big forests and rivers but felling the odd alder into a brook is not going to get them any good PR as far as I can see. How does cutting down trees which take up water alleviate flood plains and help with landscape engineering in the UK,it might work in Canada.
  3. That saw doesn't exist does it ? Small pro Husqvarna saws are 50cc, even something like a 545 would be a lot more money and saw. Something like a 435 would possibly be the equivalent but is a 40cc and is physically bigger than a 181.
  4. Any before pictures, it might be an insurance job ? Chuck an ebay cheapie in and claim for a Protos, there's a plan You're not looking for an excuse to sack a groundie are you ?
  5. Sorry I didn't mean it's not a Beaver just that it looks like a Coypu from my memory of them on the Broads. It looks like reintroducing Beaver was not such a good idea after all apart from the .
  6. The old ones are the best Stubby, he who laughs last thinks slowest
  7. Good luck with the sale, it looks a fair price for the vehicle. A friend of mine sells scooters and he put one on for £1295 a while back. First email he got was asking if he would take £400 for it.
  8. Geordie lasses would be putting a cardie on about that temperature
  9. Wind's getting up a bit here at the moment, gusting every now and then.
  10. It's representative of the way man manages the countryside and highlights Ash dieback. Do you need a permit if you want to move it to a different room ?
  11. I watched it on mute as I can't handle the Christmas spirit yet. I promise I'll watch it and listen closer to Christmas Day and won't fast forward at all
  12. That looks like a copy of my Chinese top handle 25cc saw
  13. That looks like a Coypu, years ago we were on the Oulton Broads and saw lots of them. They are as big as Terriers.
  14. To sharpen saw blades with no set rub them flat on a sheet of emery or similar.
  15. I have a Mora 120, 60, a couple of spoon knives and some Marples gouges. I bought a cheap set of carving tools which were obviously Chinese and just a starter set and my wife claimed them for working on miniatures. What kind of carving does he want to do ?
  16. And don't use as much petrol
  17. It wasn't setting the job up was it ?
  18. Try Heinnie Haynes for some Sealskin or some Merino liners for your work gloves
  19. Only if your name's Timmy and you fall down a well though
  20. It looks like a nudist Beech to me.
  21. Dis you find the bloke in it after you cut it down ?
  22. My grandson plays Halo, it looks like you might have to use a massive flame thrower for the job.

  24. I've just watched the video and they look like a good tool for the job they do.
  25. Is there a reason they had to fall down the slope or is that just to illustrate what they can do ?
