  4. A lady goes to the doctor to see about getting a facelift. “well,” says the doctor, “i can do the facelift, and then you’ll have to come back in six months for a follow-up.” “oh, no.” the woman replies. “i want it all done in one shot. I don’t wan to have to come back.” the doctor thinks for a second, then offers, “there is a new procedure where we put a screw in the top of your head. Then anytime you see wrinkles appearing, you just give it a little turn, which pulls the skin up, and they disappear.” “that’s what i want!” exclaims the lady. “let’s do that.” six months later the lady charges into the doctor’s office. “well, how’s the procedure holding up?” the doctor asks. “terrible!” the lady bellows. “it’s the worst mistake i’ve ever made.” “what’s wrong?” asks the doctor. “just look at these bags under my eyes!” she hollers. “lady,” the doctor retorts, “those aren’t bags, those are your breasts. And if you don’t leave that screw alone, you’re going to have a beard!”
  5. Just picked this up for £400, only 2 winters use (they now have biomass running 5 houses), very happy as I think they push 2 grand new. Just need to learn how to plumb in Central heating system now !

  8. Get a catapult!
  9. About 250 last season, previous 2yrs 400+
  10. Cool that's me on probation then! Have been reading this thread with interest and agreeing/sympathising with most everything said ( particularly aches n pains and comments about young slackers)
  11. Good on you for posting! Most, if not all of us, get complacent or rush it sometimes and when someone like you 'puts their hand up' it serves as a reminder of how quickly things go wrong. Some are abit too macho to admit to messing up: a lad who worked for me a while ago mentioned his boss' chest was better after a kickback incident a few weeks before, I know his boss well and see him regularly but he never mentioned it to anyone! Hope your back upstairs soon.

    550xpg

I use Oregon 21 bpx on 15" with 550xpg, does stretch but don't hav to tension every fill up, usually goes tighter (initially) if oiler not working them very slack, is your filing up to scratch or cutting rough dry wood?
  14. That's just mental!
  15. The bugger that had me was ! You could put saddle on it ! LMAO!
  16. Got it fired up this afternoon, hasn't been started for over a year went 3rd kick!
  17. Load of my sisters mates all bikers and 10 yrs older than me used to cop the piss all the time but later near all admitted they'd started out on old lambrettas and still have fondness for em. I've had afew trials bikes as well including tribsa 250 which I had to get shot of when stopped by an enthusiastic motorcycle cop ( I'd registered it 125 ) lost licence for 6months
  18. Lookin good!
  19. meant to attach this!
  20. Hi eggs just seen your old post, I too am a Vespa owner ( I have had a Vespa/lambretta in some form since I bought my first li series 3 (runner) for £15 when I was 13 (1981) I've had this small frame in the shed for yrs, it's a 50 special frame with a primavera engine with Taffspeed 135 conversion and lammy forks. Keep meaning to get rid of horrible Led Zep paint job..... One day : )
  21. They sound like another pseudo dealer jumpin on the woody wagon, our dealer Rouse Power are really good
  22. Find it hard to believe they only allow two hours: if it's under warranty it's fix or replace ( manufacturer's responsibility ). We have had two 550 cranks go same day ( under 6mths old ), 20mth old 560 crank n engine casing ( the new one has an extra internal bolt to improve seal ), one of 550 then had pot n piston failure ( at 18mths old ) all fixed no quarrel from husky. The only problem dealer had was our sarky comments. As an aside I've been told a lot of the running problems with the auto tune saws is because they are tested/run up on Aspen then tight arses like me put normal fuel in and they don't like it (want to run on Aspen but we use over 25lt a day on forestry jobs and I'm finding it hard to justify another increase in rates! ) Gone on more than I meant to but anyone agree? : )
  23. Blame prince Charlie (have you not seen pics of the 'stumpery' at higrove?) customer of mine is doing something similar: we mark old oak and chestnut stumps in his woods for him to hoik out with 360 he's also brought in 300 from another estate about 150 miles away. I'll post pics of work so far if you're interested
  24. Go for it! You've obviously taken the plunge on forking out for kit and tickets, keep building on that, a competitive industry keeps you on yer toez, plenty of chippers for hire cheap ( I've only just bought one after 18yrs of tree work ) never got on with green mech, that was a while ago though. Good luck
