  1. Anyone on here have any feedback on Steel Notch geckos? Funny Buggers have got them on offer at the moment. My Steins have been killing my shins.
  2. Sounds like most farmers...?
  3. Used to catch whiting off Shoreham harbour as a kid, in the winter, on lug worm. Delicious, they and Pollack were known as poor mans cod.
  4. Is Highwell Land Rovers still going in Galmpton? a very Devon set up, but Dave was very kind to a skint teenager with a series 3 ?
  5. I hope you bought them for a hog roast??
  6. Rob your website is excellent. I've been perving at the new cannon superlight 36" bar on there, but the £250 is ?
  7. Nasty stuff? In Devon? ??
  8. South Hams is probably one of the most beautiful parts of the country, sounds an idyllic existance! Admittedly Salcombe is a bit like Surrey on sea, I used to live round the corner in Torbay for 10 years.
  9. Usually get dust from the angled part of the gob cut.
  10. Having seen this saw in action can confirm its a beast. Punches way above its weight, also doesn't get particularly babied that I have noticed.
  11. I know a guy who used to work for Kirkland, think they are one of the main importers for Antonio Carraro, think its quite a tough game to be in, people will cost you money doing demos and then shop around for secondhand.
  12. Trousers not washed after 6 weeks? wtf would they smell like?
  13. Agreed with above. Like a lot of guys I have a magpie thing for shiney kit, I've got two leathermans, they are excellent quality, have bought cheap ones previously and they are very loose, blades don't lock, like anything you get what you pay for. Leatherman supply parts for most of their multi tools, so if you break an attachment you can replace it. Gerber are good as well I believe.
  14. You can get splinter probes, they have a tiny cutting blade. Very handy.
  15. You could get a nice Td5 Discovery 2 for 2k, and you would have a spare 3k for if you need to accessorize or fix it. Avoid Discovery 3s, you won't get a lot for 5k and they can be VERY expensive to run.
  16. Bollocks. Pretty rare, if at all possible.
  17. Chain oil is not that expensive? At the Confor show last September I saw 25ltrs for £30?
  18. There's one or two around the Sussex/Surrey area, anymore photos of yours?
  19. Bearing in mind they are only a few quid each I use Oregon Powermate. Haven't got any Stihl saws so don't know if they are applicable for them. Seem to last reasonably well?
  20. Hooks into the actual trigger itself IIRC. There's two pins that go through the handle you need to drift out, then the whole trigger mech will drop out.
  21. I worked on a site in St Budeaux once, even the Rottweilers walk around in pairs!?
  22. Add lager, rum and in some places vodka to it, you can call it red diesel ?
  23. Fat birds are like mopeds. Fun to ride but you don't want your mates to see you on it.
  24. Just asking for a friend is a chainbrake that import on a saw that large? Only because I know someone with a 3120xp which hasn't had an active chainbrake for at least 7 years, when you are running 36"+ bars kickback seems a lot less likely?
