  1. I've got an Antonio Carrara TTR4400 used with a 35e winch, woodline multipla10, circular saw, Martin Lishman sprayer and a caroni reverse drive flail its a perfect set up. BUT for steep, wet ground, I use my Deltrak for mowing as it can handle slopes no tractor including an aebi will touch - 55+ degrees
  2. We sell firewood/woodfuel where the timber is sourced from sustainable woodlands that we are managing for clients. That way it's a zero cost for the timber & just have processing costs to account for. One of the biggest investments we have made is becoming both HETAS accredited & Grown in Britain Licensed - this has helped sales immensely.
  3. Don't have leaf springs - I'm sensible, got a Defender 130😀
  4. Get a LR Defender td5 - 198K miles, no breakdowns in 5 years. Except a turbo at 166K 🙃😀
  5. Smash mouth
  6. Is it sweet chestnut?
  7. So, your burning wood to dry wood??
  8. Good time to visit the USA - dollar dropping in price against sterling
  9. With the LR Defender now dead, I'd love one of these. 4 ton payload, 5x diff locks.... http://www.rossetts.co.uk/uploads/6x6sprinterjuly2014.pdf
  10. Thor magik farmer
  11. You could swap to biodegradable hydraulic oil - that's what I use in my Irus Deltrak. As it breaks down naturally it won't affect hardstanding or soft/grass areas.
  12. WoodFuel pellets are designed to be burnt in an enclosed space where air flow is carefully controlled, & pellets are continually fed into the boiler - hence why heat output so high (circa 4800 kWh/ton) - in biomass boilers. You won't achieve this with a stove. Matt Herts WoodFuel is a Grown in Britain Licenced Woodfuel producer/trader.
  13. I had this problem, via a consultation at Papworth found out I had a rare heart block - where heart was stopping for 4 - 5 seconds, during the day & night. Now fitted with an MRI compatible pacemaker & energy levels have increased, while heart rate is steady at 60bpm.
  14. Processed all timber extracted from a wood in September Plus stacked the Woodfuel pellets..
  15. Croydon tree station set up with bio-regional
  16. 6 m3 this week, plus 5x ton woodfuel pellets this week, with another 8tn woodfuel pellets confirmed next week - luckily Verdo delivered 18 ton yesterday. Recent Grown in Britain woodfuel licence should help push sales further.
  17. 1st question has to be how much is your budget?
  18. Working in a SSSI woodland that's also a scheduled ancient monument (SAM), clearing Sycamore from historic Alder compartments.
  19. Glad I've got a Defender 130 fitted with a webasto can/engine heater 🙃
  20. That's what we do. Hook lift bins cost circa £500 delivered to site & removed.
  21. Been felling Sycamore for next year...
  22. Grants tend to come from LAG groups. There's a really good one in east Herts called Eastern Plateau - funds anything from machinery, marketing costs, infrastructure etc depending on the project. Max grant 40% net VAT.
  23. Happy with my Defender 130 - I'd have another, but my td5 is just run-in at 190k 🙃
  24. That's why I have a LR defender 130 - 1.5 ton payload and 3.5t towing
