  1. Chainsaw Embedded In Tree Surgeon's Neck Looks real to me... nasty...!
  2. There are lots out there. Ivecos are good... Movanos, boxers, fiats, cabstars, etc are good also. We have a transit and a cabstar, both ok. Cabstar doesnt carry the weight as well but is ultra reliable.
  3. Yep.... 1/4 drive sockets have a thinner wall so will fit the bolt head better....
  4. The FS56 is quote small. You'll prob want something with a bit more umph.. maybe an FS410c.... Problem is they are quote pricey....
  5. It should be illegal to home breed dogs without a breeding licence, not someone who borrows his mates dog to breed a litter to make a few quid. Plus all dogs should be licenced, must wear a collar and be chipped. How is it possible to own an animal with absolutly no checks or id is beyond me. Like home checks, is the home suitable, are there children in the home.... Come on people its not rocket science...... So sad to imagine these helpless little kids being pulled apart by a dog... Last week and eleven week old and this week a six day old....... WTH.

    Question time!

When it comes down to it the vote will be 'NO' as will be borne out on the 18th September.... Scotland's Referendum 2014 | What happens if there is a majority in favour of No?
  7. Thats such bad service.... stop using him and eventually he'll go out of business and make way for a proper service agent.....
  8. As above really, get a complete head, new or sh and keep the one you have for spares.....
  9. Like that.... some machines are so difficult to work on due to poor access.... tipping bodies are great....!!!!!
  10. Surely domestic clients should pay at the end of the day as you're packing up your kit.... if they want an invoice then drop one in the post????
  11. Should never fly tip..... But sometimes there are 2 sides to these things... Having read the post by the fly tipper and his trail of bad luck everyone deserves a break. But don't fly tip....
  12. Rangers are good... Late ones don't hold there money well so can be had for a good price. I've also owned an L200 which i ran from 23k to 99k with no problems. I'd say the newer the better as you'll get possibly more in cab toys and almost certainly much better fuel mpg. Search on the bay, there are hundreds on there or if you know someone thats selling one then that may be an option. One thing to say is look after it, don't rag it around and keep up with the servicing.....
  13. Great idea.. While we do get involved with trees we are mostly grounds maintenance so this will be interesting... Plus as far as i can find there isn't any forums that cover landscaping or grounds/garden maintenance and certainly nothing that is as well populated as arbtalk..
  14. Excellent sign writing... nice and clear
  15. Great pics... you just can't beat using heavy machinery...... bet it was an interesting day!
  16. Leaving the argument mid thread to one side... i'd have to agree regarding the public.. most of the time joe public has no clue regarding contractors and are only interested in claiming a parking spot/or getting past regardless of machinery/barriers in the way. I recall an incident where one of my lads was strimming a grass verge, all hi-vized up, noisy machine, a car pulled up near him, before he could shut the strimmer down he popped one of the car windows..... needless to say it was our fault.....
  17. Hopefully it'll be fine. I like the 4 mix engine, quiet and powerful. Ours was bought secondhand from a maintenance firm that was packing up. Its broken 2 valves while we've had it, easy fix to do... We do use it a lot but it keeps going.......
  18. We have a fleet policy to cover 11 vehicles, combinations of mowers and vans. Named vehicles, any driver over 25 as long as they are employees.
  19. Pretty typical of ebay.... Best thing is to buy only, not sell.
  20. We buy all our kit from our local dealers, that goes for handheld power tools and mowers, etc. i do this because i want the support from my dealer and to build up a working relationship with them. i know if i bought a tool from a different dealer or online i'd find it embarassing to take in a machine for a warranty issue with a different dealer name on it. I suppose if you do buy a machine from a different source then you should expect support from the supplying source and not to clog up your local dealer. I don't include paid for repairs in this....
