  1. Keep on and take him to court who will rule in your favour.. When the trader doesn't pay get the sherrifs involved.... The traders ignorance is no excuse. As a professional he should know better....
  2. Complete mickey taker and prob done all this before and got away with it. In his mind he keeps your saw for free and you claim the cost of the damage thro the courier. So in his eyes no one loses but the courier....
  3. Looks like the underdeck of ours, although the one in our picture is particularly bad. I appreciate what IVECOKID says but the silver mower is a pro and is more costly than the domestic version, so it should be up to the job. The fact it has to modded out of the box is poor. Gardenkit is right and the fact he doesn't sell Hayters any more says it all.
  4. Yes, the old cheese shape were great. We kept ours going for a while. Easy to work on and made a lovely finish to any lawn. Simple drive system, no gearbox, just a belt and chain... We bought 4 of the newer ones, sold 2 within a year as they were so poor. We keep 2 for simple jobs. We now have a combination of honda and kaaz 553 mowers. Not without thier problems but nothing like the hayters....
  5. We had the silver pro 48's, four of them.. They wear out the plastic chain cover in quick time that then allows mud onto the chain, that then stretches the chain and sends the whole lot rusty. Then if the roll pins that hold the chain drive cogs on don't shear than the cheap gearbox and roller bearings seize and wear through the shafts. Oh and don't forget it won't collect slightly wet or longer than 50mm grass... Oh and if it catches a stone it'll smash the plastic deck covers to bits. Other than that its a brilliant mower!
  6. Yes, top advice. The lawnflite is the same as a sarp, danarm, kaaz, etc. my only advice would be don't buy a modern hayter 48 or 56.
  7. Absolutely... Don't get paid for sitting indoors... If you do.. Well done..
  8. Its all a lottery. An accident thats 100% not your fault can still be found Your fault by an insurance company or judge. Protect your self with a dash cam, front and rear facing. A picture or video is worth everything... As they say....
  9. Don't think you need to show the vat amount on receipts, just the vat number.
  10. What a load of rubbish. It amazes me how out of a group of lads there is always one or two that seem to have continual 'emergencies' of one sort or another but the other lads come in on time, do a days work and go home despite having less han simple personal lives. You can either cope or you can't!!
  11. [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bahco-4750-BWC-1-Braces-with-Clips/dp/B003A6BUUU]Bahco 4750-BWC-1 Braces with Clips: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VpAHW9Y1L.@@AMEPARAM@@41VpAHW9Y1L[/ame] Try these. Ive a set, yet to fail.....
  12. Isn't it against the law for children not to go to school? And a lot of this thread focuses on the cost. Perhaps if you don't like the high cost of out of term holidays then don't have children. You can't have your cake and eat it!
  13. Yep... I agree. The less i have to deal with shop assistants, bank staff, etc the better.... Email the bank, use self service checkouts, etc... All good. I get annoyed when the self service tills are out of action....
  14. Fair point and obvious but it won't change until we've run the earth dry andthen some bright spark will say 'perhaps we should have changed our use of the planet' Restrict population growth Tax fossil burning to the hilt Etc, etc. None of this will be popular but hey ho! Of course no politician will do anything so unpopular...
  15. Yep... Ranger will pull 80mph all day in comfort and is moderate off road... LR will leave you tired on a long run however as said already great for hauling a load over a muddy field. Nothing beats the LR off road...
  16. Brilliant things... Very useful for diagnostics and setting up..... Mine arrived today...
  17. BR350.. Excellent value for money and mega powerful......
  18. I'm guessing you're young so you'll have no credibility. Quote what you think when you go SE. You'll soon find out if you're right or not. I'd doubt anyone on here will help you and to be honest why should they as i dare say they'll have had to learn the hard way. But good luck and work hard.
  19. Plus vote for the cabstar, late models, never owned the earlier model......
  20. Well said.... It really doesn't hurt to help an elderly person out.... By taking 5 minutes out of your day which is most likely already paid for you've saved the person trying to do the job themselves plus saved them ear ache from the awkward neighbour.... Come on lads if this was your mum/granny, etc you'd be glad there was a few gents left in the world.....
  21. Like the humour......
  22. Well said.... it took only the second post for the thread to go off topic.... If you've got something to say about an off topic subject then start a thread... And like others have said the OP wants a little refinement, kudos, etc.... never to had from a plastic Japanese truck....
  23. On a domestic level it wouldn't make much difference.... However the unknown is on a Europeon level, so those firms that buy and sell in to Europe. It would certainly shake things up but when the dust settles it may not make much difference at all...
