  1. i bank with all of the banks and building societys as i get emails saying that they have seen things on my acount.
  2. finishing mower with roller front and rear but needs to be cut regular or you will leave it like a hay field cut. council have a major i beleive and makes a very good job of playing fields and parks.
  3. i charge my parish,s by the hour plus chemical. i have just got a cda sprayer for doing footpaths no mixing quicker can see it being sprayed its droplets not spray. ideal for doing short lenghts. and 5 ltrs is eqvilent to 10 knapsacks but if it a long footpath then the quad is the better bet be there ages with a hand held knapsack. same with football pitch charge your normal hourly rate for you and tractor plus chemical. but add a bit on for chemical as if you do nott use it all you have to keep it untill next job. money sitting on shelf
  4. interesting as whilst having lunch had local gardining programe on and they were talking about diseses of trees and DED was mentioned. it looks as if those elms still surviving have a resistance to the bettle larvae and strains from this are being grown to replace those killed by the larvae of the beetle. sp may see more elms growing again. a nice tree to see
  5. as others lawn sand when black hire a scarifier go both ways so it all gone. mix 4 parts loam or peat 2 parts sharp sand and mix a good quality grass seed rake in leave it. when it looks like it greening up nice give it a light cut if you have a roller mower all the better. in autum scarify again with out the lawn sand 4 parts loam or peat mixed with sharp sand again leave it to be washed in. then next spring should have a nice lawn. be good you will be able to play green bowls on it.
  6. if you do buy one see if it has a italian pump fitted to it. they are the best pumps out interpump one of the best. and i use a ebc tank fitted with a connector i can fit hose to other end fits to pump holds 700ltrs of water. and gives you a good pressure as a lot of head of water fits in back of pick ok and washer sits on tail gate held to tank. do a lot with it. be suprised how much water you will go through 250 ltr drum will not last long if cleaning a combine. heard Demon very good spire presure washers salisbury do a range
  7. to start have fun. the two caps you put a little squirt of engine oil onlywants to be a very little in this lbricates. as for fuel pump follow pipe from tank to pump loosen bajo bolt slightly put it on decompresion and turn it by hand untill fuel starts coming out. tighen up and as other post give it a good spin flick levers over and should should start if not then follow pipes from pump to injectors do the same untill fuel comes out and repeat cycle. good old engines. may take a bit to get going as the fuel needs to get through and no air leaks. but they do kick back so get ready to remove handle when it does fire up used a lot on construction kit old pumps used them wyhkam pump was one. had a giant french cap in the pump unit as changed one once could lift 5000gals of water a hour from about 10mtrs in its day a very good pump.
  8. +1 allways have a bankman on hand keeping a eye out. i charge 200 a day plus machine which is 100 a day that includes fuel. not working for less than a ton aday digging ditches. can do a lot. may find the 1.5 may struggle on some ditches to get to other side. i have used a 2 tonne kubota longer reach. makes a good job of ditches.
  9. +1 using more than recomended dose per water could if it caused IF enviromental damage. then you would be liable for any clean up or any restoration due to not using it to the mMAPP leaflet with the chemical.
  10. have a old holly similar size and thats fine. looks like the deer have been chewing on it or stock and ring barked it. if thats the case and the photos do look like thats happended then it will struggle to gets its nutriants up it. you say its a hedge and these are in it one way to help them out is lay them down so the sap can run along and give new growth from the sides. make cracking hedges. just make a longish pleach and finish off with a good side axe so pleach is thick.
  11. Gallop is stronger than normal glypho and with chikara mixed will keep it at bay for year knot weed will kill as well. its not the stuff you use but when spray early and it gets in leave it untill may june grown stronger and have a resistant to most stuff. now is the time they are getting gowing and taken in all the nutriants spray them and will take them in and chikara will be waiting to stop them coming up
  12. you need HLS ELS countryside stewardship scheme they will pay you grants to look after it. or plant a few trees around and get a woodland grant from the Fc:biggrin:
  13. have a navara and have gerneral grabbers AT2 i go on fields and is ok does not get stuck. only reasoni pulled off was it was making a mess of headland but it was fine in high 4x4 micheldever tyres which is hi q doing a deal £400 for set including tracking and the vat. 200 cheaper than GG tyres. mine are 255 75 17
  14. the trouble is you need to spray early in season when in the florette stage they take it in better than when growing mad. i now use a cda sprayer as already mixed so get better results downside machine is £350 plus the chemicals but will do 10.000 square mtrs with 5 ltrs that would be 10 knapsack full. so works out cheaper. if using a knapsack then gallop is good mixed with chikara. the first kills them the second lays dorment in surface when they pop up it kils them good for a season. and needs to be dry for 48hrs and a windspeed of force 2 or less. you will then get good results. any sign of rain or if its damp waste of time dilutes it and they come back with a vengence. hence got cda unless blowing a gale can spray as its droplets but has to be dry for 48hrs. and no mixing wwhen finished take off chemical put cleaner on clean it put in reverse so it goes back in container and can keep in truck ready for next time. knapsack only use it for special spraying thats not mixed. so sits in shed majority of time.

  18. be interested as well for my navara d22 ladder rack would be a bonus as the hook on the truck are usless to the extreme and be good to lock tools up in a box in back
  19. back pack blower pain trying to use it right handed. as for rifles had the same short time in ta was not allowed to use a GMP did shoot with a winchester rifle once in a club and found that ok as ejected shell out of top not from right side in face. as for bill never noticed a difference using it left handed. can get scissors and the like for left handed from the left hand shop. with chainsaw i made myself use it right handed took a bit of getting use to but second nature now.

  23. hi can any one help looking for parts for a viking MB566VM need a new blade the disc and pully wheel which gives the drive. looking to see if its worth fixing. or sell on as it is
  24. have they the reg looks as if plod need to go and knock a door down or two. leave it and be gone never to be traced. bend there ears to sort it out pronto
  25. if its clean chip hardwood then pay a premium softwood diffeerent price and if its mixed with leaves pay the lowest as have to sort it to move on to the biomass boys. and it has to be stored on clean concrete. if they find forign stuff in it will refuse to load or if found other end will not pay you. looked at it but it was not worth the effort for £3 per tonne. local firm who do take it having trouble shifting it and now charging to dump. looks as if the biomass bubble is about to burst.
