  1. Cheers Paul, food for thought. Will have to talk to the local farmers, you never know.
  2. Brilliant stuff!
  3. Thanks countryboy, will keep my eyes open and keep asking around. Does sound good for the kiddies to run around
  4. You can get ones that do both horizontal and vertical. Does it need to be road towable?
  5. I have been playing with the idea of buying 2ish acers of coppice woodland. The idea is to store/sell a few logs etc as a side line to tree surgery and also have it as a place to do some wood crafts. Also making an investment in the land. Has anyone els done anything similar to this on a small scale? Also I'm not really sure how to start looking apart from googling those "woodsforsale" type websites. Thoughts and experiences would be appreciated.

  11. We have squirrel damage on our hornbeams in the garden. Mostly its on the crotches. I have a vague memory reading that the crotch has slightly more sugars in it or something but can't remember properly.
  12. Didn't take a befor photo unfortunately. Crown lift and and subtle crown reduction on this pine in back garden, photo taken from the road
  13. That is some beautiful timber! What's your plans for it? Sell it as is, or do you have a project? Well done for saving it
  14. Haha! NFN had to google that one!
  15. I don't think it's advisable to make a drain hole. The water makes an environment that the fungus can't live In. And you will be making a wound with the hole. Just my thoughts.

  17. Nice! Covered in ivy just for good measure as well
  18. So I have sold the chestnut bench and I just need to deliver it. I haven't coated it in anything. Would it be a good idea to put any clear wood preserver on the ends or just on the feet? wondered if that would give it any more longevity.
  19. Nice Ian, like the swirl on the end
  20. Sounds like us mate
  21. Hello Jay, met one of your lads dropping off some of that chestnut I think at pauls yard. Nice vid mate

  23. Yes, you go in the office and pay first. No rubbish like bottles and junk out the van or trying to hide aspestos under brash piles
