  1. Yep it is a bit! Here is what it should look like(out of focus pic!)
  2. The pick up pipe and filter(well its not that good a filter more just a lump of metal so it always sinks to the bottom of the oil) is part of the same pipe that goes through the casing and on to the pump. If you remove the end from the pump and lever/ wiggle the grommet part from the casing you can remove all of it from the tank. The filter can get a bit stuck so giving it a little shake and a tug should see it pop out. The pump can wear as Spud said or lot of the time it gets blocked by fine bits of saw dust which can result in a bit of a plug which can be removed by spinning the worm gear on the pump backwards by hand.
  3. We did a coupe of days of cutting and chipping gorse quite a few years ago. IIRC it wasn't the worst thing in the world to chip but it produced a fair bit more chip than expected, ie it didn't compact down well and a 6 cube van full probably weighed less than a bag of Walkers crisps! All the chip was moved but left on site to be burned or buried which was a bit of a God send.
  4. Sneaky git! Nice photo sequence:thumbup: I just have quite a few 020/200T spares that I've amassed over the years and since I can't really sell them and I can't throw them out:001_rolleyes: I thought its a good way to do something with them. I'm sure loads of us have boxes of bits of chainsaws stashed under the workbench that will come in handy some day............
  5. Good man! As A quick how to. Remove the on/offswitch and the three torx that hold the side cover on( turn on/offswitch to off position first) gently wiggle the side cover off making sure you don't disturb the white plastic O/OS bit. take a couple of photos!! Remove the metal U shaped bit that keeps the control rods in place. Lift the control rods out of the O/OS white plastic switch and the throttle lever and swing them out of the way (upwards so you don't have to remove them) The most important bit is to not move the O/OS white plastic bit as that will cause you more problems getting the flat springs back in etc, they are connected to the off switch circuit. Right, now have a look at how the trigger and dead mans work. There is a spring connected between them. You can remove both dead mans and trigger at the same time but it's probably easier to un hook the spring from the dead mans first then remove the DMS. Prise the trigger out, the metal rod is part of the trigger so that will come away from the handle with the trigger. Once again don't disturb O/OS! The spring is wrapped around the trigger so have a look at how it fits and swap it onto the trigger I gave you. Put the trigger back in place making sure it fits and sits squarely in place. Hook the DMS onto the spring then fit it in place, you might have to move the trigger a bit to get it to fit. Make sure the trigger operates smoothly and the DMS works properly. Fit the rods and U shaped bit then the side cover etc. I fit the side cover and hold it in place making sure it fits squarely against the handle and check the trigger O/OS switch operate before putting the screws back in in case something gets pinched. That should be as clear as mud for you!!!
  6. Its in Netherley mate, the address is :Unit 17, Wheathill Industrial estate, holt lane L27 0YA. ATM we do have restricted opening times Im afraid. Monday and Friday 8:30-16:30 and Saturday 10:00-12:00. Closed tue, wed, and thurs although we can be there between 8:00-8:30 and about 16:30-17:00 most days if someone needs something a bit urgent.

Its just we are still very much involved with still running the tree cutting side of things for now.

  7. We aint moving just yet I hope! I think you have us mixed up.
  8. There about £45 IIRC. Narr they are only a few quid. PM me your address and Ill sort it tomorrow.
  9. How about I send you a second hand one for free and you give a donation to AT(donate button at bottom of the page/screen) of what you think its worth?
  10. Just incase people arent aware Husky also do a breakaway eyelet.Husqvarna Eyelet Groundsaw strop connection - Accessories - Climbing Designed to fit Husy saws only im afraid.
  11. I just called them up to ask about the delivery dates as I had read(on here) that it is has been pushed back until January. Well, lets just say, looks like Santa wont be dropping any off this Christmas unfortunately! They said that concerns had been raised that someone(who isnt a dealer )was advertising saws for sale. I think its only fair that I mention this as I wouldnt like to see anyone pay for a saw that isnt yet available. Im sure that as soon as they are available you will all know about it. As for exact release dates as far as I know there isnt one yet. There is hopefully going to be an update on it all soon. Sorry I couldnt be of any further help, although I dont pretend to be at the forefront of knowledge so if anyone has better info than me I would also be very interested to know, as I just want to replace my 200T.
  12. After speaking to Husqvarna UK yesterday I very much doubt it. I don't think I'm speaking out of terms to say be very sceptical if buying one on the promise they have it in stock on the shelf.
  13. Why stop at a tenner? If we could just charge another tenner then why not twenty or thirty quid extra? Ive never tried Aspen due to the cost but have looked at selling it but ATM until we build up a larger customer base I dont think its worth us stocking it. Apart from having it on the shelves ther is the added H&S and insurance issues. Its a pity about the high cost as from what I can gather the only negative it seems to have is the price. Chainsaws and hedge trimmers are a start but if cost really is irrelevant in regards to health then are people running their stump grinders and chippers on the stuff?
  14. I would look to buy one without, a lot less hassle and cost. Diesels arent the cheap motoring they used to be, when they go wrong(which they do more often now) the savings in fuel can be well and truly wiped out! I have a Renault Laguna which had a prob with the DPF. I ended up buying a Diagnostic tool for £200 which after a lot of messing about managed to sort it. All the mechanics I have spoken to (and there are quite a few of them by our unit) say to get a decent petrol unless your doing a lot of motorway miles. Just changing a clutch on most diesels now costs loads as they have dual mass flywheels which fall to bits.
  15. The main advantage of SS is that if you are going to be using the base for a lot of cooking then the SS will outlast the Alu. Otherwise the Alu is lighter and a lot cheaper. There is some more detailed info here at the bottom of the description Kelly Kettle The most popular ones so far have been the Alu base camp which is the largest one. Although Ive been using a Scout for years which has more than enough capacity for me.
  16. Good to finally catch up with you Steve. New Tshirt designs are looking very nice.

  18. Always enjoy the APF'S. I noticed there was no Stihl Timbersports this year though! Surprised it hasnt been mentioned unless Im missing something. Great to catch up with a few people, pity it wasnt more but it would probably require another full day! A big to all the exhibitors and APF staff.

  20. It might be worth looking at the oregon powersharp if its dirty stumps and timber that your cutting. Home We do have them in stock but they arent on the web site properly yet, although TBH any postage to France will probably kill the price but definitely worth checking out one of your local dealers. Oregon Powersharp combo - 16" Bar/Sharpener - Oregon - Brands Ive got to admit I havent tried one out yet but have seen a demo and they are quite impressive. The chain doesnt seem to get as destroyed like a normal chain would when hitting stone but then back to sharp after a couple of secs on the grinding stone.
  21. An 020T 18 years ago. I've still got most of it knocking about in a box with loads of other 'old spares', 'just in case' :001_rolleyes:and I'm sure the cylinder is still a goodun!:
  22. Heres the link if anyone wants to take a closer look Silky Gamtaro 240 Pro-Sentei - Silky - Brands
  23. Thanks for the kind comments mate glad to be of service. It does look an interesting saw that one, you will have to let us know how you get on with it. It certainly will be easy to spot. Cheers Mark.
  24. A couple of pics of the stick. About 20ish feet high and just under 2 feet diameter at the top.
  25. And the winner is...... Mr B. Walker from Shropshire. Congratulations!!!! If your reading this you will be getting a confirmation email shortly. If your not a member of AT then why not!
