  1. Just as matter of interest, what rate does it go out at with flail, with/without operator? Thx Cdo
  2. I have a Nilfisk Neptune 4. Seems to do the job well. Was advised to run it on Kero not diesel, cleaner burn. Deffo top tip about not letting them freeze!
  3. Ha ha, been married 25yrs this year! AND is still can't work her out!! Can't live with em.......can't live with em!
  4. Have a look at the Wallenstein road towable stuff. Well made, powerful and tows well.
  5. What do you recommend, winter tyre wise? I'm thinking of sticking some on my Hilux, hopefully would help with the wobbly back end, not nice in the Icy stuff!
  6. 1000 litres 43.66/l +vat. Happy days!!
  7. Ha Ha:thumbup1:
  8. The only way we are going to crack down on these scum is to: a. Stop buying kit off em. b. Report them/vehicle details to the police. c. Secure our kit!! I know its a pain but the rural coppers are on side. This bloke is blatantly driving about in broad daylight, not even swapped his plates! Unbelievable. Cdo
  9. Gents, Be aware- Chap with Irish accent pulled up outside yard today (Bratton Clovelly/Germansweek area) and asked the Mrs if she/farmer wanted to buy Generators/Pressure washer etc. Mrs thinned him out proper, phoned the police and gave VRN/Vehicle details: Silver Blue Vauxhall Estate DY62 WPL Supposedly the vehicle/driver are wanted by Dorset Police! Keep your kit locked up and your eyes peeled!!!! Cdo
  10. Agree completely with you Andrew, I'm just about to put one back in that I sold with house sale. Brought it back off the new owners for £200! Bargain!!
  11. Well said Kev, more drivel from the ill informed!! Cdo
  12. Drill holes in the corners of a pallet and insert road pins to hold the bag, simple, cheap and effective. Option b just bang em into the ground.
  13. Whats the microwave and scales trick all about pse?
  14. Bit off track but is chipping/remapping really worth it? I have a 2013 3L Hilux Double Cab and struggle to get 26mpg on a run sat at 75mph. 33mpg would be nice!
  15. I beg to differ on the not using atv's on serious slopes. I worked on a hill farm on exmoor for 4 years and it would surprise most people exactly where you can get a quad bike if you know what your doing and with good enough tyres. A decent quad will go literally anywhere!! You are absolutely right about where you can get an ATV 'if you know what you are doing', however if you are towing anything weighty ie a laden trailer, topper etc on serious slopes then they are a dangerous bit of kit. Plenty of people killed and injured on them every year, with or without towing. (and many of them thought they 'knew what they were doing').
  16. Tragic! No words come close to describe what you must be going through. Thoughts with you and your family. Cdo Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Ha ha yet another windows user making comments to justify why they don't have a mac. In 3yrs of being all Apple I have never had a blue screen issue, never had a virus, never had to replace a drive. As I said earlier, they just work!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. 'don't even take them away, round here , they just get dumped in a ditch to burn or rot'. Really? Does that really happen or just more lies peddled by the RSPCA/RSPB? I was under the impression that game dealers paid money for game?? Personally I think what you did was a complete waste of money. Taxpayers or developers. Should the developers been allowed to build on the site (assuming its green field?), well thats a different story!
  19. Go apple mate, it just works. Everything else just works sometimes!! However the sony stuff looks interesting, waterproof/dustproof/robust, and supposedly the best camera ever.
  20. I had my Foreman over with a flail on the back, the flail came past me, jackknifed the quad and the whole lot went over. Luckily I had time to bail out! The thought of the flail coming over focuses the mind!! Managed to get it back obver but sorting out the hitch was a proper bitch.
  21. Well said!
  22. How slopey is your land? Quads and slopes don't mix too well. IMHO. Alpine all the way.
  23. Good luck Pete and all the best for the future. 'One closes and another opens'!!
  24. But it's only a recommendation. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
