  1. Thanks for that Jim, looks like thats the way to go. Hopefully catch up at CLA this year? Thanks to everyone for the advice, keep it coming please!! Craig
  2. Hi Jim i already have an AGT850 from you. All of my land is pretty steep and the alpine is the way to go. However I am after a loader and as pointed out, fitting one to an alpine probably isn't the best route to go down. I also have a fair bit of digger work to do, drainage, ditching etc. So i'm looking at options. Initial thoughts were to purchase a used backhoe for the alpine and get a separate cheap loader tractor. Or perhaps look at something like a mid sized Kubota with loader and backhoe (expensive!). I hadn't thought of going down the 360 route but am now wondering if it could do everything I need on the loader side too ie loading dung, grading, moving stone/soil etc. Doobin, Difflock, you are swaying me towards the 360!! What sort of money would a reliable machine cost me, recommendations? As a matter of interest, what sort of weight will a1.5/3 tonne 'swinger' lift? Any advice appreciated. Many Thanks Craig
  3. Many thanks for the advice all. Also looking at a Kubota or similar, complete with loader and backhoe, a lot more money but fitting a loader to an alpine is supposedly NOT the way to go! Would be a useful tool but....... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. I am thinking of buying a backhoe to fit on the back of my AGT850 Alpine. I have some ditching, drainage and building work to crack. Wondering if a linkage mounted backhoe is a good idea or a bad one?? Thinking a PTO driven version will be better option than hydraulics off the tractor? Any advice appreciated! Cdo.
  5. Just think what they could have spent the wasted £330k on.....Perhaps caring properly for some of the animals in their care!! If you are into hunting, shooting or fishing and give them donations, you must be mad! They have lost their way and are out to see the end of all field sports and fishing. 6. I had the guys from Glendale (For Western Power) trim out under the 11kv lines over my land. Good bunch of lads, and did a good sensitive job. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Many (not all) RSPCA inspectors believe they are Animal Rights police. There is a huge difference between animal welfare and animal rights. The RSPCA has in many cases overstepped the mark and need to be put firmly back in their place. If they want to continue their political stance then remove their charity status and Royal patronage. 8. Get in touch with the Countryside Alliance. The RSPCA have turned from an animal welfare charity into an animal rights political organisation. They need to lose their charity status and become more accountable. Shocking!!
  9. Sounds like the idea system there!
  10. As with most things, generally you get what you pay for. Buy cheap buy twice!! There are many people on here that can give you advice about various stoves and systems but if you go for something else, then it's your shout mate!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Good effort mate, wish I had the willpower to do the same! Like my bread and beer too much ha ha. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Nilfisk Neptune 4, not had it long but very impressed. Running on kero and not drinking too much. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Have you looked at the Dunsley Yorkshire Boiler Stove. Only 14Kw but we heat a 4 bed stone farmhouse easily with it. Pointless having a stove that is so big you cannot run it efficiently.
  14. Agreed and no bits to go wrong!!
  15. Now this is a 'proper' coffee machine!! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9AOg6caaz8]Coffee comes to life in this explosive music video from Sanremo UK - YouTube[/ame]
  16. Maccie D's, M5 Cullompton, must be the most rancid coffee I have ever tasted! Would have returned it if I could have turned round. I cant believe that these companies go to the expense of installing machines that cost many thousands of pounds and allow staff to turn out the dish water they do. Agreed, Nespresso is the way to go for decent domestic coffee, fresh shot every time!
  17. I would think you are too late this year, should be done when they are dormant. Nov-early March.
  18. Mr F you are guilty of humanising the problem. There is absolutely nothing cruel about shooting or hunting an animal that is killing your livestock or poultry. The profit margins in keeping stock are small and it would be completely impractical to build the sort of enclosures you talk about. Its all very well having the views you have but I guarantee that if you were to go down to see your poultry or new lambs and found them mutilated or dead, then you might change your mind and want the problem dealt with terminally!! Cdo out.
  19. We used to trade with the commonwealth but turned our backs on them when we joined the Common Market. Countries like Australia, Canada, NZ and much of Africa. Things move on, without European trade we would now be stuffed. However as many have already stated, we originally joined a common market not the United States of Europe. Personally I think we should tell Europe that we don't want to be part of the Union but remain a trade and defence partner. We have enough influence to be able to argue the case to 'have our cake and eat it'. Apart from the obvious trade benefits we are also stronger as a military partner with Europe, lets face it the world needs a 'stable' superpower to stand up to the US of A!! (sounds good in theory anyway, getting all countries to vote on anything militarily, is another issue! ;-) We need a referendum sooner rather than later! That way we can deal with the outcome..... one way or another!
  20. ??????
  21. I have the AGT850, bigger brother at 48hp. Reversible drive with syncro box. Still small enough to get into tight spots. I cannot believe how stable these things are on steep ground and lots of grunt.
  22. I had heard there were some incidents around Stowford and Sourton after Quads, but a bit North of you mate. Sorry to hear!! Just bought a CCTV camera today!!
  23. Hopefully starting up a business selling birch logs for £6.50each! No seriously, trying to train the locals.
  24. Just spotted this in a Petrol Station in Dubai. Bargain at only £6.50 each! Modern take on a Swedish candle. Bonkers! Cdo
  25. Gods' other Country!! (I have to say that cos my Mrs is a Yorkie!!)
