  1. Sounds like the idea system there!
  2. As with most things, generally you get what you pay for. Buy cheap buy twice!! There are many people on here that can give you advice about various stoves and systems but if you go for something else, then it's your shout mate!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Good effort mate, wish I had the willpower to do the same! Like my bread and beer too much ha ha. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Nilfisk Neptune 4, not had it long but very impressed. Running on kero and not drinking too much. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Have you looked at the Dunsley Yorkshire Boiler Stove. Only 14Kw but we heat a 4 bed stone farmhouse easily with it. Pointless having a stove that is so big you cannot run it efficiently.
  6. Agreed and no bits to go wrong!!
  7. Now this is a 'proper' coffee machine!! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9AOg6caaz8]Coffee comes to life in this explosive music video from Sanremo UK - YouTube[/ame]
  8. Maccie D's, M5 Cullompton, must be the most rancid coffee I have ever tasted! Would have returned it if I could have turned round. I cant believe that these companies go to the expense of installing machines that cost many thousands of pounds and allow staff to turn out the dish water they do. Agreed, Nespresso is the way to go for decent domestic coffee, fresh shot every time!
  9. I would think you are too late this year, should be done when they are dormant. Nov-early March.
  10. Mr F you are guilty of humanising the problem. There is absolutely nothing cruel about shooting or hunting an animal that is killing your livestock or poultry. The profit margins in keeping stock are small and it would be completely impractical to build the sort of enclosures you talk about. Its all very well having the views you have but I guarantee that if you were to go down to see your poultry or new lambs and found them mutilated or dead, then you might change your mind and want the problem dealt with terminally!! Cdo out.
  11. We used to trade with the commonwealth but turned our backs on them when we joined the Common Market. Countries like Australia, Canada, NZ and much of Africa. Things move on, without European trade we would now be stuffed. However as many have already stated, we originally joined a common market not the United States of Europe. Personally I think we should tell Europe that we don't want to be part of the Union but remain a trade and defence partner. We have enough influence to be able to argue the case to 'have our cake and eat it'. Apart from the obvious trade benefits we are also stronger as a military partner with Europe, lets face it the world needs a 'stable' superpower to stand up to the US of A!! (sounds good in theory anyway, getting all countries to vote on anything militarily, is another issue! ;-) We need a referendum sooner rather than later! That way we can deal with the outcome..... one way or another!
  12. ??????
  13. I have the AGT850, bigger brother at 48hp. Reversible drive with syncro box. Still small enough to get into tight spots. I cannot believe how stable these things are on steep ground and lots of grunt.
  14. I had heard there were some incidents around Stowford and Sourton after Quads, but a bit North of you mate. Sorry to hear!! Just bought a CCTV camera today!!
  15. Hopefully starting up a business selling birch logs for £6.50each! No seriously, trying to train the locals.
  16. Just spotted this in a Petrol Station in Dubai. Bargain at only £6.50 each! Modern take on a Swedish candle. Bonkers! Cdo
  17. Gods' other Country!! (I have to say that cos my Mrs is a Yorkie!!)
  18. Thanks for that. Thinking I might go Iroko instead of oak. Plenty of products available, both Treatex and Osmo. Also probably last longer too!!? And a fair bit cheaper. Craig Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. I have some exterior European Oak doors and windows to treat before fitting. Have read a couple of posts about the Osma Exterior UV oil but wondering just how good it is? I have used Treatex products on Iroko but they don't do anything for oak that I am aware of. How long is the Osma oil lasting before needing re applying? Any advice appreciated. Thx Craig
  20. Good Effort! Are you a true Commando?? Ha Ha
  21. Try Machine Mart, plenty of options on there? Cdo
  22. You will need some type of storage vessel- cylinder or heat bank/store. We ran our existing combi to heat the heat bank until we got round to installing the new boiler stove. Probably not the most efficient use of a combi but if you set the system up with buffer stats then you can get the combi to fire longer and less often.
  23. Aga Rayburn....Prime example of a company trading on its past record. Their newer boiler stoves have a shocking reputation. I have heard of them lasting 5yrs and then cost of fixing them being so expensive that you might as well scrap them. And that was from a supplier/installer. Very sad.
  24. Ha Ha. Yes not a cheap option but it takes the reliance away from oil. (Installed when oil price was >70p/litre) Only really worth doing if you are in a position where you need to change the cylinder and stove or new build and you have a free or cheap supply of wood. I still rate a stand alone wood burner for room heating. Cheers Cdo
  25. We fitted a Dunsley Yorkshire boiler stove, gives 6Kw to the room and 8Kw to water, so although a large stove it doesn't overheat the room. We have it connected to a DPS thermal heat bank along with an oil fired boiler and hopefully solar thermal in the future. It works great, fully automated so that when the bank is up to temp either the stove auto damps down or it will dump heat to rads/UFH. DHW is also at mains pressure via plate heat exchanger. Although not the cheapest setup, I can honestly say that it functions really well. Cdo
